The defense says Jerry Sandusky has something called a "histrionic personality disorder." Here's a definition of that disorder from the National Institutes of Health:

Histrionic personality disorder

Histrionic personality disorder is a condition in which people act in a very emotional and dramatic way that draws attention to themselves.

Causes

The cause of this disorder is unknown. Both genes and early childhood events are thought to contribute. It occurs more often in women than in men, although it may be diagnosed more often in women because attention-seeking and sexual forwardness are less socially acceptable for women.

Well I'll be danged. So that's what it is. Had two ex wives that must've had it and, after this weekend, I'm thinking my oldest granddaughter may be coming down with it...way she carried on needing an I-pad.

I found a simple cure for her though. $599 for a new I-pad and she was just fine! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

"According to the NBC report: "Internal e-mails and documents they say show former President Graham Spanier and others discussed whether they needed to tell authorities about a 2001 allegation involving a late-night encounter between a naked Sandusky and a young boy in the Penn State shower room. The sources say documents show Penn State even did legal research on the issue. But in one e-mail exchange, two sources say, Spanier and former vice president Gary Schultz agreed it would be 'humane' to Sandusky not to inform social services and the incident never got reported."

That is a smoking gun for a cover-up.

The only good news (for me) is that it does not involve Gricar.

Histrionic Personality Disorder-- even if so, SO WHAT? A personality disorder is a lifelong personal bent, why didn't he seek out help with that? Why didn't his wife? Because, it's no big deal, imo. Plus, he was defensive coach for one of the manliest games there is: Are we to believe that Sandusky had repeated hissy fits about things that didn't go his way in his professional life? Are we going to hear from neighbors and friends about Jerry dissolving into tears when he burned the BBQ chicken? It's such BS, it's embarrassing! A personality disorder afflicts every relationship, not just a certain group. Omg, how stoooopid. :moo:

LOL Let me guess. She's a teenager. All teenage girls have a few symptoms of Histrionic Personality Disorder. In my house it's affectionately known as Drama Queen Disorder.

Jerry does not have this disorder. He is a textbook case preferential pedophile and his wife appears to be a preferential pedophile enabler. Lock 'em both up!

BBM - This is probably the guy who was grinning at JS during jury selection...I'm wondering if one person like this who seems friendly toward JS, or maybe just the school, can stop him from being convicted...IOW, does the jury have to be unanimous on all the counts or a majority vote is enough? TIA

Sandusky sat still during the testimony Monday as Accuser 4 explained that he began showering with the former Penn State assistant football coach in 1997. He says what began as "soap battles" escalated into inappropriate touching and oral sex.

The prosecution also showed a letter they say was written by Sandusky on Penn State letterhead. It was one of many letters Accuser 4 says Sandusky sent him.

The first paragraph said "I know that I have made my share of mistakes. However, I hope that I will be able to say that I cared. There has been love in my heart."

I think it has to unanimous-but I could be wrong-This guy worried me when I read that to!

She was likely given the unfeminine nickname, Sarge, because she was the boss and not seen as his partner or sexual partner. Urban Dictionary's definition of "sarge" doesn't include any positive definitions. IMO, this is a very insulting nickname for Jerry to have given Dotty.

If the judge does allow the defense's expert to testify about this diagnosis, I hope the state comes back with their own expert to explain the truth of his diagnosis, as you stated above.
