That's interesting that he "doesn't answer questions right away" but "reflects on everything he says."

Yeah, good tactics for an accomplished liar. :furious:

I think this is the Jimmy Stewart defense - that Sanddusky is just a plain old guy who hems and haws - "Aw, shucks, ma'am, we was just horsin' around." And he loves those boys, like Jimmy Stewart the scout leader in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, in a hands-off naive and shy kind of way, nothing to see here, just move along.

I agree with you on what they are trying to do but there will be 5, 6 or 8 of these men who are not little boys anymore who can be intimidated and who want their justice, testifying.

After they get up on the stand and start describing JS's hairy back and belly button, among other things, and how he raped them and forced oral sex on them, among other acts, that will go down the drain....

Don't think he or his lawyer will be 'aw shucking' much by the time it's over...

The barn was not the point (altho I also like it as an example of history of the region and think it would be good to restore and save it)....the point of my post is that in order to build the Village, the trustees and investors overrode the previous promise by the University to the Center for Sustainability to have the land for its home and the site for its landmark environmental projects.

That to me shows this group was more interested in building this money-maker for themselves than maintaining the integrity of a promise for its use for scientific and environmental advances by the school.

Exactly! :thumb:

At least 5 Sandusky accusers expected to testify

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57337420/at-least-5-sandusky-accusers-expected-to-testify/

(CBS/AP) A source close to the investigation into sex abuse charges against Jerry Sandusky tells CBS News producer Pat Milton that at least five alleged victims, possibly all of the eight named in the grand jury report, are expected to testify at a preliminary hearing next week.
-------

In a statement Monday, Sandusky's lawyer said he's looking forward to questioning the witnesses against his client.

"Although the preliminary hearing is not a trial, but simply a probable cause proceeding ... we will, for the very first time, have the opportunity to face Jerry's accusers and question them under oath about their allegations," Joe Amendola said.

BBM

Time to put the victims on trial now.

Well it's nice to know he thought a long time before telling that one victims mother he was sorry and wishes he was dead. :thumb: Maybe not the shrewdest strategy Mr. Lawyer Man. Also if you're going to do that then try to control the questions better.

I hope his bond is revoked on the spot.

When is the hearing and will it be public for TV broadcast?

Can't believe that his bond has NOT been revoked prior due to the fact that the original judge had a conflict of interest.

Besides victim 1, please refer to victim 4 in the GJ report:

"The investigation revealed the existence of Victim 4, a boy who was repeatedly subjected to Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse and Indecent Assault at the hands of Sandusky. The assaults took place on the Penn State University Park campus, in the football buildings, at Toftrees Golf Resort and Conference Center ("Toftrees") in Centre County, where the football team and staff stayed prior to home football games and at bowl games to which he traveled with Sandusky."

The details are also provided in that section.

Also note that JS is charged with 7 counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercouse.

Regarding the 1998 events with victim 6 the GJ report states:

"After a lengthy investigation by University Police Detective Ronald Shreffler, the investigation was closed after then-Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar decided there would be no criminal charges. Shreffler testified that he was told to close the investigation by the director of the campus police, Thomas Harmon. That investigation included a second child, B.K., also
11, who was subjected to nearly identical treatment in the shower as
Victim 6, according to Detective Schreffler."

As has been shown in previous links, having showers with a underage child
is considered indecent exposure and even if the police declined to follow up on it with criminal charges, it should have been reported to the CPS authorities.
Thank you for providing that info. I went back and reread the grand jury report and only one anal rape is recorded in the football showers. This which will be prosecuted as involuntary deviant sexual intercourse (possible 20 years in prison). There was oral/genital contact in the showers which Sandusky may never be charges with because the witness is not able to testify (nursing home man) and the victim is apparently unidentified. (I hope he steps forward.) The other deviant behavior in the football building was molestation or lewdness. (Yes, that's horrible, too.)

That leaves 6 of the possible 7 involuntary deviant sexual intercourse charges, that articles have discussed, as occurring when Sandusky took the victims to hotels.

Attorney: Client claims Sandusky sexually abused him in 2004
State College - Centre Daily Times

Read more: http://www.centredaily.com/2011/12/06/3010893/attorney-client-claims-sandusky.html#ixzz1fmQbC9gx

A Harrisburg attorney said Tuesday he’s representing a man who’s alleging Jerry Sandusky sexually abused him in 2004 during a Second Mile program on Penn State’s campus.

Chuck Schmidt, of the firm Schmidt Kramer, said he plans to file a civil suit in a few weeks against Penn State, The Second Mile and Sandusky, likely in Dauphin County. Schmidt didn’t disclose say where his client lives today, to protect his identity.
-------

Schmidt said his client, who’s 19, was 12 when the single instance of alleged abuse occurred.

This new complaint is being investigated by state police and the AGs office....Oh, wait, wait, wait...I thought JS was told not to bring anymore children to the campus in 2002?
Supposedly, Sandusky was told to not bring the kids into the football showers anymore, not the campus. The Second Mile gave some of the kids in its program football tickets to Penn State games and there were other Second Mile activities that were held on the 10,101 acre campus. There are 3 golf courses, 3 swimming pools, baseball diamonds and etc....

Is there any article that discussed whether The Second Mile administration was told about the 2002 rape?

Well with all these lawsuits hitting Penn State they might check into the price of bronze scrap metal. I think it is around 3 dollars a pound.

The Center County Court of Common Pleas has set up a lottery system for those wishing to attend the Jerry Sandusky Hearing on December 13, 2011.

Per the Court statement - space is limited and after applications are received there will be a lottery and those getting seats will be notified.

I don't know about all those rec facilities you're mentioning but according to pg 8 of the grand jury report, Curley said he told the freak not to bring children onto the campus. It doesn't say that kids couldn't come on the campus, just that this child rapist couldn't bring them.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking for when you asked about an article, but above, Curley's testimony is clear that he told TSM's head honcho about the 2002 shower incident.

The lawyers explaination for his client sounding like a twisted pedophile in interviews is.... he's not...he's simply an idiot?
:floorlaugh: If a jury buys that one!:floorlaugh:

Oh wait...hmmmm...that wouldn't surprise me.:banghead:

I've been checking on this the past few days and here is an updated article which seems, to me, to indicate that TV news will only be from updates outside the courthouse....I just hope there will be a running blog.

http://www.centredaily.com/2011/12/01/3005011/bellefonte-braces-for-media-storm.html

Bellefonte braces for media storm at upcoming Sandusky hearing (12/1)

"Officials said they expect a large contingent of news reporters and TV crews to cover the hearing, possible arriving in Bellefonte as early as the day before the hearing.

Centre County Sheriff Denny Nau said his staff will try to shield the alleged victims from media. He called on media outlets to respect the alleged victims’ privacy by not photographing them or taking video of them outside the courthouse.
---------

County Court Administrator Maxine Ishler said Judge Scott will issue a “decorum order” next week outlining behaviors that will be allowed or banned inside the courtroom during the hearing."

I just hope they'll let that gal, what's her name...Sarah?, in there to cover it. She'll get the info out quickly.

Yep, I've read the GJ report several times and also use the summary chart that I posted before. But....

I'm not so concerned now about where things happened (it's not going to make any difference in the outcome) but what JS did to each of these boys (at that time) and that they can meet enough of the evidence requirements to get him bound over for trial for ALL 40 counts.

Either that, or he and the 'mouth' will see they are fighting a losing battle and give up and plead guilty and get a loooooooong sentence.

I'm just really thinking about these men and hoping they can be strong and testify so effectively for the prosecutors there is no doubt what happened to them, so the 'mouth' won't be able to trip them up as he's hoping.

Then the trial....

Then the law suits...

Then the new possible charges from the 2 grandchildren....

Then the new possible charges from the 2 new adults who allege abuses by JS

And whoever else comes forward...because we all know JS didn't start his behaviors when he arrived at Penn St./Second Mile...he's probably been doing this since he was a teenager, altho the statute will be past for most of those.

Can his flim/flam stand the test? I don't think so....

Thank you for finding Curley's correct statement in the grand jury report. :) When I googled this, I found the "Curley told Sandusky to not bring kids into the football showers anymore".

I don't think the public will allow the DA to make a plea deal in this case. The house needs cleaned and aired out.

I hope the charges from his grandchildren (females ages nine and seven, and one male, age five) are not fabricated because if they are, it might bias the jurors to be less sympathetic towards the other victims. (Some parents use sexual abuse allegations as a nuclear option to sway custody or to hurt the other spouse, so it might be possible in this case.) The male grandchild is five and this doesn’t fit the age preference of Sandusky exhibited by the age of his other victims when they were abused. If Sandusky is a fixated pedophile and has only chosen males to abuse in the past, an allegation from a female just doesn’t fit.

I don't think they are going to charge him yet with all the others coming forward now.

You have a valid point, but if there's anything seemingly not on the up and up, the prosecution doesn't have to bring them into this hearing on 12/13. By the time these other victims get through with their testimony, anyway, the jury might be outraged enough that they won't worry too much about whether this creep is fixated or not.
