Oh, good! Maybe there's more bond ahead!

Looks like I was wrong...heck, the judge could at least have made it half a mil...

But WHEN (think positive!) JS is remanded into custody for trial after the prelim hearing, it should be NO BAIL....

-------

@sganimSara Ganim

#sandusky will have to post full 250k bail to get out and then will be on ankle bracelet if he posts

-------
If he does post, not only the monitor bracelet, but he should be ordered not to have contact with any of the victims!

The silence from DS is telling. :(

IF she ever would/does talk I doubt she's going to say much at all besides how wonderful Jerry is. I don't imagine we'll hear much from her.....even in court. She/Jer are protected by [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spousal_privilege"]Spousal privilege - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]
It's hard not to wonder if Jerry was as lovey-dovey, touchy-feely, playful and attentive with Dottie as he was with the victims and other boys. Wonder if he spent as much time with her as he did with them? Wonder if he showered Dottie and his own kids with gifts frequently?

Is there a statute of limitations on kidnapping charges? Because it's sounding more and more as if he kept these children locked up away from everyone.

The tricky thing is whether the parents or foster parents signed some type of parental consent so the kids could stay with Sandusky either at his home or out of state. Of course, parental consent means the person is supposed to act as a guardian, not as a molester and rapist.

Time Frame (more at link)

Because of the serious nature of kidnapping, the laws in each of the 50 states as well as on the federal level impose no statute of limitations on kidnapping cases. In other words, there is no time frame during which kidnapping charges must be filed. No matter when charges end up being brought, no time limitation prevents prosecution.

omg. omg. omg. :furious:

You know, there are some cases that make me so angry, I almost need to step away from the computer before I lose it. This is one of those cases. There are so many things I want to type but I'm just not going there . . .

Why isn't she being arrested too? There's culpability there. :maddening:

Sounds like Dottie Sandusky is not innocent either. Sandusky had plenty of enablers.

This is my first post on this thread but I've been lurking (in horror) since the beginning. I am so tired of Amendola saying "People who know Jerry describe him as 'just a big kid.'" Have we seen ANY friends or acquaintances of Sandusky EVER quoted as saying such??? Not that it matters, as "the big ol' kid" is modus operandi for pedophiles....I'm just curious if anyone has seen anyone but his lawyer say this in an interview or article and could post a link.

Thanks!

Thanks! I forgot about that...to me she seems more a house manager than a wife....and it seems that's the way JS probably thought too...

Could DS be charged with witness tampering because of all the calls she made to a victim/s?

Of course she knew, just like everyone he worked with knew. For crying out loud, the one thing that's become abundantly clear in all of this is that he paraded his victims around at work AND at home because no one gave a chit enough to jeopardize their own personal slice of the pie.

Replace the words "young boys" with "voluptuous young women". Is there a wife anywhere on the planet earth who wouldn't have known what was going on down in the basement? Do you really think anyone at his workplace wouldn't have noticed and known what he was up to with a steady string of young blondes with ta-ta's out to there?

This <modsnip> is supposed to have had the ONE wife in existence that didn't know what the screaming was about in the basement?

These intellectual scholars who were his workplace superiors were supposed to be so brain dead that they didn't know what was going on in their own campus facilities?

Suuurre they didn't. :rocker:

Just think of all the victims not strong enough & emotioanlly ready to come forward...I would bet there's plenty

 • #451
Yeah. Surely these little ones won't be needed at this upcoming hearing to get this case headed to trial.

This is where I started out this morning on CBS:

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-500202_162-57330932/source-sandusky-accuser-part-of-coachs-family/ (11/24)

(CBS/AP) STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - A source close to the case against former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky told CBS News that at least one of the children who recently came forward with new claims of sex-abuse is a member of Sandusky's family, CBS News correspondent Anna Werner reports.
--------

A lawyer for Sandusky denied the new claims from two children and continued to maintain his client's innocence. Sandusky has said he showered with some boys but never sexually abused them.

I think there is only one case on a grandchild (probably the boy as you say, Pensfan) and the other is another minor child. This was posted about on the last thread, and it said Child Welfare authorities were investigating them. I haven't seen that any charges have been made as yet on these 2 cases of minors.

If JS did abuse some child that young, the only thing I can think is he could not access his usual Second Mile kids and out of desperation went off the loop of his usual practices....

Pensfan, thank you for bringing forth this link. I am just so repulsed by this and I don't clearly know if it's what Jerry is accused of doing or the fact it went on so long that gives me such a sick feeling. My mind keeps telling me that this criminial behavior continyed mainly because no one in authority stepped up and took action to stop Jerry. He might have been warned, but he was never stopped.

From your posts and your name, I see you have a personal interest in Penn State and how this progresses. But, could you share, if you feel comfortable with it, how you believe this will end? Not just for the accused but for the University itself. Thanks

just my O.
A Pens fan is a nickname many use for a Pittsburgh Pengiuns fan. I do live in Pa and I have one son at Penn State main campus, one son who is a Penn State grad and now at Hershey medical school, and one son at Univ of Pitt.

How I believe this will end:

This will go on for years, but Sandusky will ultimately be found guilty and go to prison. Curley and Shultz will very possibly get a short jail sentence and then serve community hours. McQueary will find another career and Joe Paterno will only live for months longer, not years, because depression impairs the effectiveness of cancer treatments.

There will be a class action lawsuit and then a settlement for all the victims where Penn State and Second Mile will both be found guilty. Both institutions will have liability insurance for negligent actions, but I don’t know if it will cover this because it might fall under criminal acts. The administrators/directors/board members at Penn State and Second Mile have director’s liability insurance, so these people won’t pay anything "out of pocket." The university and Second Mile are the “deep pockets” anyway.

Penn State Univ. will continue as exist. What out-of-staters don’t know is that there are many extremely expensive private universities in Pennsylvania ($55,000+/year) and significantly fewer state or state-assisted public (affordable) universities. With this reality, Penn State’s main campus receives approx. 55,411 first-year baccalaureate applications every year, but only 6,788 individuals are accepted.
http://admissions.psu.edu/facts/studentbody/index.cfm

Therefore, the students at main campus have very high SAT scores, very high GPAs, tons of extracurricular activities, and are motivated achievers. It has been this way for over half a century and it won’t change because of an ex-employee pedophile. Job recruiters will continue to travel to Penn State to hire because the students are motivated achievers and they have already been selected out and they are located at Penn State. (It is also very difficult to be admitted to Univ. Pittsburgh and Temple for the same reasons.)
http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2011/11/job_recruiters_are_not_fazed_b.html

Donors will continue to give to Penn State. There might be a slight dip in donations, but it will be short term. My second son's group went out canning for THON last weekend in the area around Philadelphia.
http://www.thon.org/
His group came home with $1,600 more than they did from this area last year. (Clearly they were not collecting millions, but the people who gave generously to THON weren’t concerned about Sandusky representing Penn State because Sandusky isn’t Penn State. Wealthy benefactors are likely to have the same attitude.)

IMO this woman knew, knew, knew a looooooooong time this "guy" was not right.

Way back in another thread I posted from news archives their wedding announcement. DS was not "from there". However all the wedding festivities were held in PA. Her people all came to PA. Maybe not real telling, but obviously Jer and his rents had the upper hand. I mean the mother fixed them up.

Save the kid. Save the poor kid that is screaming for help. She adopted six da*n kids with this man. She knew.

Additional video footage of Sandusky arrest today (if you can stand to look at him). From the accompanying article:

Wonder what the heck "told you" means :waitasec:. My interpretation is that possibly Amendola advised Sandusky to stay in some unknown location which would make it necessary for authorities contact Amendola regarding Sandusky's whereabouts. That scenario would give Amendola a 'heads up' something was going down.

You're probably right on that.

I also am thinking that JS insisted on those interviews and maybe Amendola cautioned him about getting his big ugly mug out there denying the charges. After these other victims saw that they probably were so disgusted they decided to come forward too.

You guys are way ahead of me, as always but here is the new Grand Jury presentment (probably again :)): http://msnbcmedia.msn.com/i/MSNBC/Sections/NEWS/111207_Sandusky-Presentment.pdf

And MSM is reporting that Sandusky was re-arrested again today. I know, I know, you already know, but I wanted to post anyway because I am glad he has been re-arrested and I am praying he is NOT let out on bail this time and that the judge will see that he is a danger to children, everywhere!!!!!

Darlene Ellison weighs in on how Dorothy Sandusky may have been duped.

No mention of young boys kept in her basement.

Right Filly - and no mention that her husband had already been busted 2 times for child sex abuse. Even if he wasn't convicted, by the 2nd time any wife that did not realize something was up...... well seriously, I mean seriously?????:furious:

I don't know about Penn. but in California, there is no Spousal Privilege in matters of child abuse/sex abuse.

:seeya: peeps!

I know that this case stirs up our righteous anger and indignation... but pleeeeease remember our TOS, and before you hit that "Post Quick Reply" button, check your posts for name-calling and other TOS violations. Sometimes I find it very therapeutic to type it all out, read it back to myself, and then just hit that "back" button and start fresh.

We can discuss this rationally and we can vent our outrage, responsibly and within TOS.

:tyou:

(And btw Salem, I owe you a Coke. :blushing:)
