How did any of these people sleep at night when they never even knew this little boys name?

As far as they knew Jerry could have done the kid in after McQueary ran out.

McQueary, his dad, the Dr. Dravo, Paterno, Curley, Schultz, and Spanier should all pay dearly for this unknown little boy. Start with Paterno and melt down that statue of his and make one to this little boy with no face and no name.

I really like your idea with the statue!

Good one Dr.

Coming from a survivor who had multiple people cover up the abuse....and the abuse continued for 9 more years....I can tell you that in my book, it is as bad or worse. I am so stinking angry at these people for covering up these horrific crimes of Jerry Sandusky's. They deserve equal punishment. If you know someone is in the act of killing another and you do not stop it, IMO you are party to the murder. If you know a man is raping little boys and you do not stop it, IMO you are just as liable for the rape....and the next rape, and the next.

Great post stilettos. I think you and I wear the same size shoe.

I am sorry...but this man is a sick pedo and has yet to repent for a single act! I believe in redemption, but have yet to see or hear of a pedo who has been healed or successfully treated. He will have to ask God for forgiveness, I am not going there. Pfft. BTW - I can tell you that this man would be asked to leave our church. We have children to protect and they come first.

So true. Some are just too naive.

Now if the little boy had just been a quarterback.............

The Patriot-News has learned that Penn State's starting quarterback, Matt McGloin has suffered a seizure as a result of a post-practice locker room incident. The incident and Matt's medical condition was confirmed by Paul McGloin, Matt's father.

Matt McGloin was released this afternoon from Mount Nittany Medical Center. Paul and his wife, Cathy, joined Matt and a handful of teammates in his apartment.

Paul McGloin told The Patriot-News that the doctor informed him that his son did suffer a seizure and likely suffered a concussion.

Matt's father also said that the CAT scan and an MRI results came back negative (which was good news to the family).

Paul McGloin said he was still gathering information from his son about what transpired in the Lasch Building locker room earlier today.

Nooow they call the police!

Penn State QB Matt McGloin knocked out in fight with teammate Curtis Drake

For those who aren't fans of college football, the following schools have hired coaches since the season ended: Ohio State, Arizona, UCLA, Arizona State, Texas A&M, North Carolina, Kansas & Washington State. They all fired a coach and hired a coach within a 2 week span of time. The process is so rushed because no university administrator wants to leave the football team without a head coach for a prolonged period of time.

It's imperative that Penn State hire a head coach, soon than later. Most players are smart enough to figure out the current staff will not be around next year. When there is no one in charge to hold over a hundred aggressive young men accountable, there's the potential for trouble.

I'm not certain about the state, but Shultz was the head of the University Police. There was no requirement beyond that, technically.

Stupidity does not equate criminality.

I would think since he was part of a police agency, he would be a mandatory reporter of child abuse.

Who do the police report to?

The child welfare agency which is usually over children's protective services, which by law is responsible to investigate any child abuse report. Every
state is required to have an abuse registry hotline.

That's what was done in the 1998 incident, although they ended their investigation after the police ended their own and the DA declined to prosecute.

This time (2002) CPS wasn't even called and the judge wants them investigated too now.

Schultz testified he thought that agency was notified in 2002. He couldn't name the agency, however.

"As far as I know the university asked the other agency [a child protective agency] to follow up, as they did in '98 [after a similar alleged shower incident]," he said in his testimony.

"I thought it had some basis of inappropriate behavior but without any specifics at all," he said in his testimony.

He was asked repeatedly in his testimony but was unable to identify the child protective agency

Courtroom tweets are the best. I first discovered the advantages of courtroom tweets during all four of the Christian/Newsom murder trials. Sadly all four defendants will be retried so the process starts all over. :maddening:

BBM

It's the next best thing to being there...the reporters were even describing the attitudes and expressions of the ones involved.

Thanks again to you and Dr. Fessel for your great work!

I guess we'll find out if he was telling the truth THIS time but I doubt it...if there was a report the agency should have had a record and somebody from the agency should haved testified before the GJ. I'm very interested in finding out if they did get a report and what they did about it....if they were part of this cover up, they are in deep dodo.

One just got booted from our church, and he had only one victim (that's one too many).

Who do the police report to?

Child Protective Services in most states because they are the ones who are set up to investigate child safety issues, interviewing parents, etc.

I really hope that Child Services was never notified. I have a feeling he never called them, or they would have been compelled to investigate this further.

A good Article.

In a way, Victim One represents each of Sandusky’s alleged victims, and epitomizes their individual stories.

For his strength, his bravery and his conviction, we name him, the anonymous Victim One, The Patriot-News’ Newsmaker of the Year. Not just for who he is, but for whom he represents — a group of anonymous men, allegedly victimized by a man once thought to embody the best in us all.

This is so deserved! I wish this distinction could net him millions. It's easy to forget that this guy is still so young. Still in highschool. Was forced to abandon his high school that he would've graduated w/ this spring. I pray a college steps up and claims him and grants him a good solid eduation so he can flourish in life. Away from Penn.

Front page on this morning Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is an interesting read.

Retired detective describes 1998 Sandusky investigation
Believed charges warranted in case
Sunday, December 18, 2011
By Paula Reed Ward, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Retired University Park Detective Ronald Schreffler believed he had enough evidence in 1998 to charge then-Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky with something after the man admitted to a boy's mother to showering naked with her son.

"At the very minimum, there was enough evidence for some charges, like corruption of minors," Mr. Schreffler said on Wednesday, the day after Mr. Sandusky chose to waive his preliminary hearing on 52 counts that accuse him of molesting 10 boys over the last several years.

Instead, then-Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar told Mr. Schreffler he could not file charges. The detective said Mr. Gricar gave no explanation.

"You don't question Ray," Mr. Schreffler said, calling him the best prosecutor he'd ever worked with. "Ray was not a person to be intimidated. If he didn't feel the elements were there ..."
