Calling one of the accusers "conniving", wow. Insulting this young man while on the stand would not play well to me, if I were on the jury.

Also, choice of where to sleep? I'm sure she gave those boys a choice, but I doubt that her dear hubby did. You don't get choices when you're being abused like that.

Agreeing with those who aren't sympathetic to her, physical appearance or no. There comes a time, when all of the accusations, the flat-out weird behavior of JS, keeps hitting you over the head, that you have to at least suspect that something is not right with your husband. She had no suspicion at all? Not buying it.

It was a bad choice on her part. Tsk Tsk. They should have maintained "these poor broken boys from broken homes, they know not what they do" attitude. JMO.

(May I just say that Dottie was just as nasty in her testimony as I feared she would be, and I'd be very surprised if the Jury finds her sympathetic. All she did was blame the victims and attack them as brats.)

And if she "heard lots of things" then isn't it possible that what Jerry described as "horsin' around" or "wrestlin'" might have been molestation?

ETA: Kids shout when they're playing, but also when they are hurt. Did Jerry play these same "games" with their own children, but Dottie learned to be deaf and blind over the years? Geesh!

I wonder if the Pros even asked her any questions?

But if the basement isn't sound-proofed, and her hearing is good, she has no excuse for not hearing the victim scream...

I think her answer to that would have been "I didn't hear him because he didn't scream. There was no screaming going on in MY house or I would have known about it.". I am sure that's where she was going with the statement about her hearing being "...just fine"; the next thing was going to be "Nobody ever screamed in my basement because I can hear JUST FINE and if I didn't hear it, it didn't happen."

I also think that's complete BS, by the way; but Iam pretty sure that would have been the response/explaination, and nothing anyone would have said would have budged her from that opinion. "Didn't happen. Didn't see. Didn't hear. Didn't happen." Deny, deny, deny. And the more the jury heard that over and over like a broken record, the better the chances of one of them actually stopping for just a split second and thinking "Well.....maybe it DIDN'T happen...???" The prosecution didn't want to go spend too much time going down that road. JMO.

Dottie Sandusky says her husband never had inappropriate contact with the boys who stayed at their home.

The wife of former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky took the stand Tuesday in her husband's child sex abuse trial.

She says their life has always been a busy one, with her husband's coaching schedule and charity work. But when he was home, she says boys from her husband's charity would go with him to football games and then sleep over.

Dottie Sandusky says she remembers most of the men who testified during the trial that Jerry Sandusky abused them.

She says there was no inappropriate contact.

She also says that the basement where the boys would stay wasn't soundproof. That contradicts one man's testimony that he screamed during an assault but couldn't be heard.

This is just my own bias, but Dottie reminds me of church ladies I knew growing up who used to scare me because they were so cold. The hair, the jewelry, the fake grin - she's got it all.

The jury might decide things in that way. One of them is lying, according to Dottie. She took away any chance that she did not hear it IF it happened.

So she is putting the jury in the position of calling one of them a LIAR.
