A British woman who went to Peru on a yoga retreat to 'find herself' has vanished after spending the last month sleeping rough after her passport and money were stolen in a violent robbery.

Hannah Almond, 32, a fashion graduate from Grimsby, was left stranded, penniless and unable to reliably contact her family after the attack, with all her remaining belongings torched by local thugs.

Strange there are several photos of her with homeless people after the incident, who was taking the photos? Article says she couldn't contact her family but how have they found out and since set up a give me cash money page raising money to find her? All very odd imo

Thanks @StillDiggin, see that Hannah is shunning Consular and police efforts to help her with accommodation and food, instead returning to the street. Consulate can of course help her with a new passport, if that is what she wants.

She must be seriously unwell if she's too traumatised to accept assistance from the embassy, and prefers to sleep under a bridge with homeless people.

I read the article, and it says despite accommodations and help being offered to her, she keeps going back to stay under the bridge. Apparently she's made friends with a homeless man there. I'm thinking drugs, or a mental break.

The sound quality of the video is really bad plus everyone is shouting. I think I can make out that the locals are cross because of drug taking under the bridge.

Typically, this would be "bazuco" or crack.

If she doesnt get out soon, this will end badly. MO
