He claims that he went to the police and there was no information on her, and that he contacted immigration authorities but their records suggest she hasn't left Peru or not legally at least

Google translate is a little off?

Christopher Franz (38), a doctor, who was the main suspect and before the National Police ended up confessing her crime

Franz was arrested this morning in Miraflores, while he was having breakfast.

The subject days ago appeared in a YouTube program 'pagers' to help in the search for your partner.

That murder took nearly three months to solve. :/ How sad for Kimberlee's family. They probably suspected him right from the beginning.

They haven't find the body yet, it is also uncertain if he confessed that's still unofficial the police hasnt said that

The police found bloodstains on their apartment, on the hallway, and in the buildings parking garage, securiry cameras show him leaving tv the building on November 27, ,not her he was carrying luggage or packages

  • #28
The mattress, bed sheets n pillow cases were missing, the police recovered this from their maids house, it is reported he gave this items to her, the mattress contained traces of blood

  • #29
Its is worth noting that he claimed he last saw her on November 26, but the security footage where he is seeing carrying packages is from the 27, it's from the security cameras from the buildings parking garage, in this footage he is allegedly seen getting into his car and leaving, also the police found that the apartments washroom door had signs of being forced

I was just going to post a note here that I was rolling my eyes at everything the SO was saying..and then I got to the posts where it says he admitted to killing her. Welp, I think we knew that's where this was headed, unfortunately.

I hope LE find her and her family gets her kids. I won't say what I hope happens to him, it isn't at all charitable.

Edited to add: I looked up femicide in Peru, it's specifically gender-based violence, a man killing a woman as a form of sexual or sexist control, which has, alledgedly, not been seen as a very serious crime and traditionally sentences haven't been severe. There's been many protests about it recently in Lima.

This just hit mainstream news today - hoping her family has answers soon. Peru may have shorter sentencing for femicide, but prisons are much harsher.

On the other hand, Joran van dee Sloot is serving a long sentence for killing a woman, although wasn't he charged with murder? Is murdering a spouse less serious than murdering a woman who Is in your hotel room?

Femicide is a pretty new charge, up until recently it was considered murder, however I just checked and it carries a minimum of 15 yrs n no maximum, where the law doesn't establish a maximum the maximum is 30 yrs same deal with aggravated murder maximum is 30 van der sloot was facing 30 yrs he pled guilty so he was sentenced to 28 you can get a reduced sentenced by pleading guilty or by sincerely confessing your crime (ultimately it's up to the judges if they believe your confession or not)

Thanks - it seems like the guilty party can hedge his bets. If he thinks there's here is enough evidence for a conviction, he should confess and plead for mercy from the courts with a sincere apology. If he thinks he can get away with it but gets caught, he's potentially looking at a long, harsh sentence.

that's exactly right if he did kill her his best chance is to confess and plead guilty otherwise it's 30 yrs be default(he can apply for parole after two thirds I believe but under parole, and standard parole conditions include Not Changing his address Without notifying the judge, not leaving the country, and reporting to the judge once a month) also he is yet to be formally charged if I'm not mistake prosecutors have until tomorrow, but no body has been found yet, so we'll have to wait n see what happens

The security camera footage is important because it shows him carrying a large luggage bag that he can barely carry it th rd police say those images are from November 27th at around 11am which contradicts his statement to police, he told police that he left in the morning for work an dc didn't go back to the apartment until later at night
