The Peruvian paper says the reports of Holloway's remains being found is just a rumor and may actually be old news referring to the photos a few months back that seemed to show something resembling skeletal remains under the water.

According to 'de Telegraaf' (dutch newspaper) the Peruvian newspaper 'La República' is saying that they found Natalee Holloways remains on Aruba! That's all they say for now. I think it's a rumour but thats jmoo.

It is probably a rumor but I hope it's true!

I still don't understand why Joran, since it appears he had his passport, some money (I would like to know how much), credit cards and Stephany's car, didn't just go directly to the airport and catch a flight to Thailand, Cambodia, etc., one of those countries where it would be much more difficult to track him down. The only reason that I can think of is that he didn't have enough cash or his credit cards were over-extended and he was trying to get someone to send him money through western union. Did Stephany really win about $5,000 at the casino that night, or is that just rumor. That would have surely gotten him out of SA. Exactly how much cash did Joran have on him when he was captured? I just can't see him staying in SA if he could get far away.

Maybe he thought he could disappear more effectively traveling on land through SA. If he tried to fly out, he'd have to go to the airport and surely LE alerted the airlines and airport security to look for Joran VDS.

It could be that when he went out for coffee, he was still wearing the white shirt that they found with the body. That would add to the timeline.

I believe she used his computer, I don't believe she googled him. If she was worried enough to google him, I believe she would have left. She may have used his computer to send an email or to check for an email. I can see him flying into a rage because she touched something of his. This makes more sense then him killing her, then going for coffee, coming back waiting a while with a dead body, then leaving. Really, he is such a liar that there is no telling what happened. He looked so calm when leaving the room, really anything is possible.

Really--if she found out he was a murderer and had the clear opportunity to escape the room, which she would have when he was out buying coffee, I think she would have left in a hurry! Why would she stick around waiting for an explanation?

JMHO - I don't think sex was any part of this on either side. Their physical attitudes before entering the room are not indicative of any sort of physical attraction or flirtiness. I think even if he had the intention to forcefully rape her, he would still exhibit flirty behavior in the hallway. They looked more like they were about to conduct a business transaction of some sort. There is just no personal connection between them, attitude wise.

The lack of personal connection VDS displayed on the hotel video could be indicative of his callousness and cold-blooded disdain for women. He appeared comfortable, arrogant and remote (towards SR) once he had accomplished his goal of getting her through the hotel door. Perhaps, some acquaintance rapists display some flirtatious behavior prior to rape, but with a psychopath and/or rapist, do not believe there is any correlation between flirtatious behavior and rape. Not about our understanding of sexual attraction, how one would would behave prior to the act, etc.

The police in Aruba will search two areas this week in hopes of finding Natalee Holloway's body. Van der Sloot remains the prime suspect in the 2005 Aruba case and officials there hope to find more evidence.

According to Jossy Mansur, Diario Newspaper editor in Aruba, preparations are underway for the search.

Glad to hear that this has confessed... I have been wondering, does anyone know if the purse was Stephanys? If so, I wonder if he stole it before (earlier that night at casino) which is how he was able to lure her back to his room. He may have told her he took it as a joke...really liked her type of deal. Took it because he wanted her to hang out with him during the night. Just throwing out ideas...JMHO's
