PETA Co-Founder's Unique Will (Warning: Slightly Graphic)

When I saw a hematologist and he gave me my results, he said that I had two choices. 1) I could have B12 injections monthly, or 2) I could eat 3 pounds of RAW liver each day! My jaw dropped as he told me this, and he continued on to say that if I squeezed some orange juice on it, it would help with the asorbtion, and the juice gave it a better flavor!!
Uhm, no thanks...injection please.

I wonder why he didnt give you shots to get your levels back up and then just add eggs to your diet? or is your b12 absorption worse than that? did you seek another's advice before returning to eating meat?

(your decisions are your own of course, I was just surprised at the tone of your post, you dont sound like you're enjoying the meat eating and I wonder if you have alternatives)

From what I found out here, he is a German race car driver.

Since she wanted her heart placed there it's possible this is someone she admired. This article mentions the 10's of millions he has donated to charity and I could find nothing negative about him.

VB

p.s. Welcom to the boards Litespeed :)

I think he has been a part of some of Peta's campaigns... and I'm finding that his wife is a huge financial supporter and activist for Peta Germany.

PETA is 100% about money. That's it.

7) PETA frequently looks the other way when its celebrity spokespersons don’t practice what it preaches. As gossip bloggers and Hollywood journalists have noted, Pamela Anderson’s Dodge Viper (auctioned to benefit PETA) had a “luxurious leather interior”; Jenna Jameson was photographed fishing, slurping oysters, and wearing a leather jacket just weeks after launching an anti-leather campaign for PETA; DMorrissey got an official “okay” from PETA after eating at a steakhouse; Dita von Teese has written about her love of furs and foie gras; Steve-O built a career out of abusing small animals on film; the officially “anti-fur” Eva Mendes often wears fur anyway; and Charlize Theron’s celebrated October 2007 Vogue cover shoot featured several suede garments. In 2008, “Baby Phat” designer Kimora Lee Simmons became a PETA spokesmodel despite working with fur and leather, after making a $20,000 donation to the animal rights group.

7 things you didn't know about PETA

imo..
It's sickening that this group constantly uses people's love of animals to convey their supposed message. They support eco-terrorism for carps sakes! They take in millions and millions of dollars every year, yet what do they have to show for it? They've paid for arsonists lawyers, magazine spreads, and public demonstrations.. Why don't they put that money towards research into programs for the humane society or the spca? How about putting some of that advertising money into helping business find solutions to the practices that they so vehemently protest? No.. instead, they just make alot of noise and don't really do anything but throw red paint on ladies wearing fur coats and parade celebrities around naked.

wonder why she didnt just leave her estate to her dog like most eccentrics do

Marybeth,

I hope you have plenty napkins stored in your new purse and enjoy the BBQ. It will give you strength for the hypocritical cross you have to bear. WooHoo, Vollyball after the human rib BBQ with cole slaw (made with mayonnaise which has eggs), and dont forget the potato salad....with all the fixins...WooHoo, Dogpile.....oops....did I offend you Marybeth....Mybad:angel:

Actally I RARELY eat out and our meat is puchased at a place where I know how they are raising and killing their animals. Its a mom and pop business that raises their livestock and kills them humanely. No hormones, cages, etc.

Really? They humanely euthanize them?

I'm a vegetarian and love all animals but certainly not too fond of a lot of what PETA does.

Sorry to go a lil OT here:
Can't add eggs to my diet as I'm allergic, and it increases my depressive and anxiety issues. I have perniscious anemia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pernicious_anemia

B12 levels shoud be between 200 and 600, and back then mine were at 12. Now they hover around 200. And even at that lower end of the scale you can be symtomatic- which I am.
The only good thing about this perniscious anemia is that I have a valid excuse for being tired all the time(Ie: I am not just lazy) and brain fog/concentration/memory issues (ie: I'm not stupid or brainless).
I knew I had anemia, and I thought it was pernicious anemia, but couldnt quite remember for sure since I saw that hemotologist so many years ago.

Just got my latest set of test results today, and it's 100% confirmed to be PA. And lack of intrinsic factor.
RE: diet for PA:
This diet is composed especially of foods rich in complete proteins and iron—particularly liver —and containing an abundance of fruits and fresh vegetables and relatively low in fat.
And now I have to go gluten-free too. :banghead:
I'm still not eating liver though. ewwwww!

For the love of GOD, is this going to open up a can of worms (that are killed humanely), and is Ma Barker Involved? Are you there everyday, or are you being told? Also, we know by scripture, how our meat is to be presented to us. How do you kill an animal humanely? Do you give it a death sentance like some rapist/pedophile/killer and make sure the whole country knows that the supreme court has ruled that all technicalities have been used up, so it is safe to eat? Or, do you eat it from the store, and not ask? Hmmmm :waitasec:

I love her will. Certainly she knew her wishes would not be granted, but she does get her point across. I absolutely agree that circuses are vile and should be permanently abolished, along with any other animal "act" that exists on this planet. At least she had a true heart.

She forgot to leave any fat tissue to Tyler Durden to make soap with....

Sorry, but what you consume (meat, I assume), IS tortured and beaten. Animals bred for meat live horrendous, abusive, tortured, sad lives.

And, I am not casting stones here. I eat meat myself. I wish I didn't. One day, I hope to evolve to the point where I don't. I can only hope.

Google "The Earthlings" movie....and get your vomit cup ready. :-(

uh oh .. i don't have a vomit cup.

I find PETA way TOO militant in their views and I think that is what drives alot of people who otherwise would be supportive of their cause away.

It is interesting that the same folks who staunchly support an animals right to life and to not be tortured, killed or maimed for the convenience of humankind are the same individuals who you will find marching for the rights of women to abort their fetuses.

Not trying to spark a huge debate here, but I have never understood how the two ideals coexist so easily within one mind.

One hand: Baby seals, too cute to kill, stop the killing.

Other hand: baby humans, motherhood isn't convenient right now, nobody better interfere with a woman's choice.

It just seems contradictory to me.

IMOO ANY organization that is militant in their beliefs is not the organization for me.
