I agree that your grandchildren would be upset and report anything like that.
But sadly, Hailey's environment, her entire extended family was nothing like your grandchildren's.
I am not saying she wouldn't report it--she may have objected and it may have cost her her life in the end. But with so many shady felons surrounding her, it might have been hard for her to find anyone to listen. Poor sweetheart-she deserved a much better homelife than she had.

I too have mixed feelings about to what degree were they subjected.. IMO it was not an out in the open and blatant type of deal that was going on in their home.. Past cases show us that the majority of the time remarkably those closest to the person involved with CP haven't a clue as to what the perpetrator/purveyor/purchaser&viewer are doing and hiding as they're own personal..dirty secret..Most only know their fellow CP "pals" via the World WideWeb by a made up username..and I'd like to say that to find a couple such as SA/BD to be very rare..but here in recent years it becomes all the more prevelant to see actual couple involvement of both the male and the female..The Anderson's are latest couple to be in the news{From The Amber case in Texas also w/Bill Fry..a link is posted in several of Hailey Threads}..They had to unexpectedly leave suddenly from the ats they lived in and what they left behind was literal mountains of VHS tapes of thousands of hours worth of child porn filmed in the very apt that the tapes were found..Husband and wife together in on the making and selling of the movies..Sick/twisted/evil are just a few of the words that immediately come to mind..

But back to BD/SA I think its possible there could be some video made by or involving either one or both of the two of them in CP and Beastiality..That is horrendous and vile to think of but one must admit at this point it absolutely is a possibility.. An even better possibility IMO is their involvement as viewers/consumers of CP/BS.. Most likely BD introduced to it by SA after possibly grooming Billie towards being willing to watch/enjoy such with him{whom IMO he has been building and escalating his porn habit for many years}..IMO with the more access he had to computers and their technology as years passed.. the more ferocious his appetite became for sicker and sicker deviant behaviors that he enjoyed/got off on..Billie after being seduced by this hot..young buck who probably was making her feel like a million bucks in and around all their bedroom life..IMO their relationship is EXTREMELY BASED AND DEPENDENT ON PURE SEX..I believe that 100%.. I think Billie was sucked into the addiction after more than likely even having to make herself enjoy it at first strictly to be please this hot young guy that was showing her the time of her life..and just like would happen with dabbling in drugs just to please a partner so too does porn take a hold of you and before you know it you are sharing his addiction as well..I do believe this..now DO I believe their hearts..minds..and souls are equally evil and black to the core??..No..I believe that it is Shawn who has the extreme addiction and actual physical and psychological need for these deviant type behaviors..whereas I think Billie is more addicted to pills than anything porn related.. I think in a way her becoming an addict{possibly and JMO}hooked "pills" was her way of coping whilst getting in to the sicker and sicker acts and behaviors..Just as Clint has repeatedly said BJD may have always been dominant and bossy but she used to be die hard AGAINST DRUGS-ANY KIND!.. PILLS.. WEED..HARD STUFF..I believe Clint and I believe that while in the is 3yr whirlwind out of control relationship she's had with SA has caused her fall deeper and deeper into an addiction..I think she "pills away" any guilt felt{just as ppl "drink away" guilt}IMO Billie does that with the pills..any guilt is quickly controlled with a dose of pills..and apprehension about the illegal activities..esp.the CP/BS controlled with another dose of pills..She easily fell into the addiction..From what we have learned about BJD's fam history w/drugs IMO her body is one of those with genetics already predisposing her to addictive substances and behaviors..and sometimes it takes a hold of you before you can even realize just what the he!! you've gotten yourself into..

I am in no way whatsoever giving Billie any type of "pass" whatsoever for her part in what all has taken place but rather am only laying out IMO the dynamics inside of the home of Billie..DD..Hailey..and Mom's Live-in BF Shawn..possibilities of what the kids were exposed to and had knowledge of...I do recognize that it is a "possibility" as well that one or both of them were involved with trading/selling/producing the CP..but I really am not yet convinced that is the case..I know there's alot of already seized and analyzed media involving porn{w/CP being the illegal and extremely troubling one}and this new info that he was known to carry 5 flash drives all containing porn(including CP)..well.. I'm just not sure if I believe it.. am still pondering on it..

{At this time}I do not think that Hailey and DD were directly exposed to BD/SA's sick hobby/habit.. With DD especially I believe with age he figured out more and more of what this odd/strange/weird vibe was in his home..The kind where everyone{even small kids so definitely DD and Hailey's age}recognize and feel the uneasiness and tensions of there definitely being something that was being hid and was very secretive..You know this was sensed by these two at the very very least..Them knowing something just is not quite right..They probably soon felt it after SA's moving in and little by little they watched and sensed it drawing their mother further and further away from them{relationship wise}..

whereas I think its possible that maybe Billie used to do stuff fun w/just her and DD and Hailey..Go to a movie..or just hangout at home popcorn and movies in the living room all snuggled up together..
And then after SA moved in little by little..but literally day by day the sensed all of that fading away..No more even joking around with mom..just acting goofy..instead they are met with an easily irritated and agitated mom..I believe its quite likely one of them or both went to Billie with how they were feeling and what they were sensing..But they were met with someone foreign to them..instead of a mom concerned/worried over their feeling of insecurity and worry they were met with how dare you question Shawn.. he already thinks you two don't like him.. and I sure don't want him leaving just cuz you 2 are acting selfish like brats{IMO something similar in nature possibly occurred btwn BJD and her kids..Possibly when they went away feeling as tho something was their fault and that they were hurting mom by not liking Shawn..If they went to her I'd bet it was only one time..They understood their concerns were not valid..held no merit..and were not even going to considered..{jmo and am speaking about very real possibilities}

So it is in ^those^ type ways that I believe that the kids were affected by what was going on in the house..Indirectly affecting in an extremely negative way by not even being directly affected nor even having knowledge that such as the CP ever existed in their mom and Shawn's life..Of course I could be totally wrong and Billie could be much more involved as well as she and Shawn directly involving one or the both of her children.

If and when the day comes that we do actually find out what all the pieces to this huge puzzle are and what their detail is of each piece..Its my opinion that it would be per DD..whether thru court proceedings or him confiding in others maybe months or even many years from now as an adult himself attempting to move on with his life and make the best of it..yet he can't til he gets it all off his chest..hence you have him possibly confiding in someone{confiding in the dysfunction he and Hailey grew up in during those years..i AM NOT IMPLYING OR INSINUATING THAT dd WOULD CONFIDE IN someone details of WHAT HAPPENED to Hailey..Bcause IMO DD does not know any certain detail of what was done tho I believe he has a strong belief that she is not alive..but he knows nothing of what actually happened}..

Yep. I'm wondering if it isn't a family business of sorts...just a tentacle of a national monster. Wasn't SA and a certain brother very good buddies? Why did Cory come home from college and is he employed...or was he employed by SA? From what I've seen, no one locally has come out and said very much at all about SA. *****I still have the feeling he has connections and the people that know it are scared to death to say anything. No one has come forward except Grammie Jones to paint a picture of SA with dark colors.... No one has said they hung around him in a "normal" social way or buddied around with him...except BD's brother. Just SA & BD. Where was their social circle? They both have lived in that community all of their lives. Just odd.

Billie knew about the child porn all along. Along with producing their own films, which I believe they either sold or tried to sell, I think they were on their way to what would be considered bigger and better $$ opportunities.

If she was used somehow sexually, she could have very well been threatened or intimated to hush also. From what I've read here about child sexual abuse they threaten to harm other family members or hurt/torture animals to get their point across. :furious: Nothing more than terrorists of little children.

I was always a very vocal, honest, talkative child. But I never told anyone about my uncle abusing me. He threatened to hurt my baby brother and alsoI was also afraid my dad would kill him--and I would lose my dad. I don't know why I thought that at such a young age, but i was probably right.

There are lots of things that Shawn could have done to her that are borderline-especially since Billie speaks so much about them joking around and rough housing. and he talked about Hailey wearing his masks while they watched gory movies. I think he might have done a lot of inappropriate things to her during that time that she could not really tell anyone about because he could say 'Just Joking Around,'

I'm not so sure I believe that SA is involved in any ring of other people dealing with CP or trading out Haylie. He's said to have been a loner and BD seems to be pretty reclusive. They didn't have much money and had a good supplier to get any drugs. I think whatever was done probably didn't involve others.

Yeah I tend to agree although it seems he probably did take pics or video of other women he was involved in. My guess is that everything was for his personal use, since he does seem like more of just a consumer than a creator in general, but that's just a hunch. Maybe he showed some of it, or gave it to his friends but my guess is it probably didn't go beyond that (although he could have shown friends he just knew online).

I guess a big question is whether we have heard anything from family that may indicate Hailey showed signs of molestation. I know there are people here on WS that know a lot more about that than I do. I would think that she would show an obvious change in her behaviour if she were actually being prostituted. Maybe something that extreme would even be somewhat evident in her Facebook and Myspace postings.

I did have a friend who's dad and stepmom would have him watch them have sex when he was around Hailey's age. His dad had very seriously dysfunctional sexual problems, which involved animals. I wouldn't be surprised if something along those lines was going on.

The bottom line is that Shawn, and likely Billie, are very evil people no matter what the exact scenario.

I am hoping against hope that Hailey wasn't subjected to BD/SA sick behavior. I have always thought that the latest pictures of her which I recall were taken by her teacher reflected a happy confident girl. I don't think Hailey could have hidden any sexual crimes committed against her. Hailey had a glow about her, a sweetness that didn't seem to be a mask for anything she dared not reveal. If she were my granddaughter I would have sensed if something was "wrong". I think she did have a few adults who were there for her and who she could trust if something was done to her. The fact that she didn't trust SA makes me sick because I blame BD for anything that happened to Hailey.

Children are sexually abused everyday and no one knows. You can't tell by a photograph. You can't tell by looking at someone. If ever a child was surrounded by untrustworthy losers it was this child. There isn't a one that I would trust as far as I could throw.

If Haley confided anything to her mom, we know she was let down. When LE said he was the person of interest, she stuck by Shawn. When LE told Billie of the child porn, she still chose to maintain a relationship with Shawn. That speaks volumes, nevermind the whole quit/fired last one to see Hailey thing. She only cut him loose now because life for HER was being made increasingly difficult because of him.

IMO She's the sociopath, he's the porn/sex addict and together they were deviant sexual thrill seekers & one twisted couple that did God knows what to that child.

Every electronic device he owned contained CP. And with over 100,000 images on his mom's computer alone that led me to believe it was more than an obsession but a business. BD has to know about this business and I am sure she didn't mind the cash coming in.

Seriously, if a guy has 5 flash drives on him at all times and lived with you, wouldn't you want to know what they were for? She knew what they were. It's not like he was a big executive who needed to carry his files home from work.

Oh, and I wonder who is talking and helping LE out? Someone had to have talked to let them know about these flash drives.

But notice that they use porn AND deviant acts. Why not just say porn if nothing against the law was found on those flash drives? I'm thinking more than just garden variety legal porn was found on those flash drives. Using a term like deviant acts means more than just regular porn to me. But, I do understand that until it's confirmed, we don't know for sure.

ITA. And it's that borderline thing that is so confusing to a kid, heck, even to a young adult in college. I know some things happened to me when I was younger, not by anyone in my family, and I never said anything because I didn't really know if it was something worth telling my parents about, especially when the person said it was just a joke. At that point, it's just your word against the other person's word. And if you have a parent like Billie, saying it was joke takes away all of the inappropriateness, and it just gets swept away as nothing. It amounts to HD just overreacting or being overly sensitive, I bet.

IMO Children tend to "test the waters" when disclosing sexual abuse. They need to gauge the reaction. If they don't get the reaction they're looking for, they shut up. They usually disclose piece meal.

Seems to me, Hailey was doing just that when she confided in her grandmother about Shawn being creepy and making her uncomfortable.

The latest images of Hailey to my knowledge are the school videos and the Christmas photo of Hailey on the couch with Billie Dunn and Shawn and to me Hailey doesn't look very happy at all.

I agree. You can't always look at a photo and know if someone was sexually abused. I wish it was that simple.

I really dont think SA was selling CP or anything like that. Maybe sharing it with friends and BD, but selling? I just dont get that feeling, but then again anything is possible.

I just think he and BD and others were into it and perharps had an addiction to the images and like the experts say you get desensatized and need more and more graphic images to satisfy as time goes on.
