Pictures of the Karr Family Christmas of 1996 Have Been Found

Just heard earlier from Courttv that the parents of the 14 year old Karr married said they have letters Karr wrote their daughter many years ago and he is reported to have signed them S.B.T.C.

This was talked about earlier. But I heard they recall the letters not they have them

If you google Quientana Shotts, her name appears on a Wicca Site and on a UFO sight.

Actually, you probably do. I know quite normal, balanced, intelligent, educated people who go for wicca. The UFO bit - if she's saying she's been abducted - OK probably a nutcase, but if she's just speculating, or possibly is a debunker - that's a completely different matter.

I wanted to say that, also: there are many "mainstream" people who are into wicca, paganism, etc.

The site that QS is on looks like a very immature group, though: it's kind of an R-rated wicca site and some of the women (NOT QS) are coming on to the men in a sleazy way.

On Catherine Crier today, Barry Levine (National Enquirer) has tracked down a former Karr neighbor (woman) from Hamilton, Alabama, who says she saw Karr Christmas Eve (1996), Christmas morning before Karr and family went to Atlanta to have dinner with his relatives, and the day after Christmas when the Karr's returned to Hamilton.

She remembers this because she was friendly with the Karrs because JK helped with remodeling her house, and Karr helped move furniture before and after Christmas.

I just saw this also! Doesn't sound like she'd have any motive to make this story up to "protect him" either.

Exactly. It's almost as if they are doing, or trying to do, the Boulder DA's job when the DA ought to be checking out DNA and hauling Karr over to Boulder for questioning.

I still have a question about yesterday's "hearing": If that agent (Spray) from the DA's office hadn't left him in L.A. and gone home for the "family emergency" wouldn't JMK have gone directly to Colorado on the next flight?

If that is true, isn't it strange that the "family emergency" came up which allows Colorado to drag it's feet getting him back over there?

I'm just getting the feeling that CA is starting to feel like they are stuck with this guy and all his "problems". Just what they need in an already crowded prison system - a crazy man with misdemeanor child porn convictions.

Right and the only other way out would be mistaken identity which seems very improbable. Lets remember that perjury in a murder case carries the maximum penalty and I doubt that Karr's family or this neighbour wish to spend the rest of their lives behind bars.

You'd think they'd want to get him to Colorado...ASAP. I'm wondering if the DNA results are back, and they don't match. Couple that with all the other things and I'm thinking that they know they don't have their guy.

She sounds much more plausible than the family does - although I wonder how she's sure it was 1996 and not 1995 or 1997...

He's creepy at best...and I can't imagine anyone trying to proctect this guy. He wasn't in Colorado and never was...at least not physically.

I wonder who Tracey (and John Ramsey) will toss under the bus next? Karr is very lucky he has people around him to verify his whereabouts. And he's lucky he's blatering on and on about things that will eventually be proven to be false.

And what's the deal with those "attorneys" who defended his behavior. Those two women...I can't remember their names (maybe Patience).

Still no pictures showing him around the Xmas tree after how many days now? By now, I would have been able to produce them, for every Xmas I took pictures, even though they are in a storage locker 20 miles away with hundreds of boxes.

Also, the brothers are still curiously silent about which one of them did or did not work for Mr. Ramsey and brought John along to the Xmas party. If it's a bald lie then why not come out and say so right now? "I never worked for the Ramseys and can prove it." How hard would that be ???

Notice how people who have nothing to gain or lose have no shame in sharing what they have with the media (acquaintances of Karr). But the family who may be trying to keep secrets are having a hard time just being honest. Not that I blame them...but we should be aware that they are forever linked with a child murderer if he is found guilty, so it is in their interest to give him an alibi.

That's why she seems more credible - it's a major event, a one time event, so nothing to blur together - but years are tough, especially at the end of the year. Is she thinking 96, that's when she finished it - in Jan 96 - and therefore Dec 95.... or is it a hazy recollection what year it was - I did some major remodels - and I remember clearly that my sister and brother in law were living with me, because they were inconvenienced by it - but I'd sure have to go back and look at the reciept to be certain of the year.

Your right the truth will come out. Now about the party lets look at it this way. If he was there why has no one that also was ther come forward and say anything to comfirm it.No picture from 1996 Christmas . But still no pictures of him at the party.

I wouldn't be able to tell you what my neighbor did yesterday, let alone ten years ago. On Christmas. My father was buried on a Christmas eve, but I can never remember the year unless I look. Seems like yesterday to me.

I wonder if this is the same photo as before - the one with the kids, but not Karr, and they say they'd remember for sure if he wasn't there with the kids. You'll note they're not saying what the photo shows - to me that says Karr isn't in it.

I haven't finished reading the thread so someone may have posted this already:
The family members Harris is representing said they would have remembered if Karr was not with his family because Karr was not well-off, Harris said. The family would have remembered if he had taken a plane trip somewhere.

Harris said he would turn over to Boulder police a photograph taken at Christmas of 1996, showing Karr's three sons and another child. Karr is not seen in the photograph. The attorney said family members asserted that if Karr's three children were there, then Karr was as well.

So I guess my question would be, was the photo taken in front of a monument in Atalnta, how do you determine that the picture wasn't taken in CO? And how can we prove that this picture was taken on this particular Christmas and not one from before 1996?

Duh, most of the time the photodeveloper has identifying codes (or did) on the back of the paper the phots are printed on. Why? Because that stuff goes bad after awhile and you have to keep track of how "fresh" it is or isn't. Flip over commerically developed photos from 10 years ago and you'll see what I'm talking about.
