Ping Map for June 24, 2008 - Discuss that day only

As noted, many thanks for the clarification - I am beginning to feel like that Monty Python character with the hanky tied about my head screaming "MY BRAIN HURTS!"

FWIW, I rechecked the 'calls for service' log and the theft was indeed reporte 6/24. And that leads us to the calls for that day both pre and post caper:

And tra la, tra la. Right back to the old Lexus conundrum. Sigh

I just read BJB's post...no phone calls from Cindy to Casey before the gas can incident time frame on the 24th. So George is making up Casey's statement that she knew about the gas cans, "mom told her" ? What could be the reasoning behind that I wonder ?

Hi, Search. Whether or not Cindy tipped Casey off is all kinda wrapped up w/ the undetermined Lexus vs. Gentiva disposition. In one camp...if the call was to Gentiva wherein lies an opportunity for the Casey-Cindy convo. Conversely, if it wasn't to Gentiva, then we're either @ a 6/23PM discussion (unlikely, IMHO) or @ a BS-flag (more likely, IMHO).

FWIW, in the Greta interview Cindy jumps into George's tale and inserts that she'd told Casey about it, along w/ George saying it.

I think people who know how to spot *fabrications* from body language, etc. would point to several tattles going on during this Greta-episode that would suggest mistruths. Since, it isn't an exact science, and I'm justa a hack I'll relate the example...(1) be concerned that you aren't getting the truth when someone emphasizes a point that would be equally believable if not empasized or even omitted. Cindy seems to me to be actually physically unable to resist emphasizing the she-told-Casey aspect of the story that George is telling. IOW...when someone is telling you the truth, they don't worry as much about you believing/understanding every aspect of their story...'cause if you don't believe/understand they know you'll ask a question that they can answer. Someone selling you a line is more apt to try to head-off questions by spelling it out for you so you'll hopefully move on to something else and not ask questions they'll hafta scamble to answer. Same holds true for George's description of the wedge, rotate the tires, etc. etc., IMHO.

To your question of what their reasoning could be...great question. It would seem to be best left alone. I mean ultimately, George is telling a story that busts Casey for stealing the gas cans, right. So, who cares how it came up in conversation?!? Perhaps George & Cindy rehearsed something in advance and George improvised/forgot how it was supposed to go...maybe they hadn't had a chance to get their stories straight and Cindy was prepared to say she'd told Casey, Casey confessed a perfectly innocent "ran outta gas & forgot to tell you" story...so that it could all go away with Casey-the-good-daughter saying, "I'll get the gas cans back home Mom! Thanks for telling me!" and the innocent-enough-Cindy-Casey plot was derailed by George. Seems more 'real life' that the Casey-George chit chat didn't happen...that George just headed out to the car and Casey dashed off ahead of him...gave him his 'effin' gas cans...and sped away. That the chit chat aspect was just fluff to try and divert from the confrontational nature of the exchange...which George barely hinted at...understandably.

..end of rambling. :silenced:

Family phone calls 6/24/08 (calls of significant length are noted, content of calls is pure invention):

9:49 am house (George) calls Gentiva (Cindy) ("Someone broke into the shed and stole my gas cans!")
10:19 am house (George) calls police ("Someone broke into my shed and stole my gas cans!")
10:21 am house (George) calls Cindy's cell ("I called the police.")
10:22 am house (George) calls Cindy's cell ("You know what, I bet it was Casey.")
10:22 am Cindy's cell calls house (George) ("No, no, Casey's in Jacksonville. Why do you always think the worst of her?")
11:19 am Casey's cell calls Gentiva (Cindy) (7 minutes) ("Hey, just wanted to let you know everything's great in Jacksonville. Dad's gas cans? Oh, well, yeah, actually I did have to come back into town yesterday just for a couple of hours and borrowed the gas cans. It was an emergency.")

2:48 pm Casey's cell calls Gentiva (Cindy) (no connection?)
2:49 pm Casey's cell calls Cindy's cell (no connection?)

3:00 pm Casey gets a "voicemail waiting" message
3:01 pm Cindy checks her cell phone voicemail
3:15 pm Cindy's cell calls Casey's cell (6 minutes) ("You poor thing. Dad is so unfair to you. Um, by the way would you mind bringing Caylee by just so I know she's OK? Or at least send me a picture of her? And in the picture can you have her holding a newspaper with the date on it?")
3:20 pm Casey checks her cell phone voicemail
5:23 pm Cindy's cell calls Casey's cell

I am counting "Lexus" calls as Gentiva (Cindy) calls, for reasons discussed on the Lexus thread.

 Priceless

Remember also that the 24th KC was supposedly in Tampa with Zani (accident, hospital BS)
According to CA's FBI interview GA & CA didn't even think KC was in Orlando.

June 24th
Cindy talked to Casey by phone. Casey said they were getting ready to leave the hospital but Zani began having complications, punctured lung and fractured rib but that the lung was not fully collapsed. Zani’s sister brought Zani’s mother to the hospital but forgot her meds so they had to go back home. Zani wasn’t released so Casey stayed with her again. Cindy said in their conversation she had words with Casey that it was Zani’s family’s obligation to take care of Zani and not Caseys. Caseys responsibility was Caylee. (Should have been a lengthy conversation)

June 24th
Casey still at the hospital with Zani
14:49:06 Casey calls Cindy’s cell no answer
14:49:31 Casey calls Cindy’s cell 4 sec
14:49:47 Casey calls Cindy’s cell no answer
14:50:11 Casey calls Cindy’s cell 1 min call
15:15:18 Cindy calls Casey 4 minute conversation
17:25:53 Casey calls Cindy’s cell 10 minute conversation
19:05:06 Anthony home calls Casey 4 sec
19:06:10 Casey calls Anthony home 12 minute conversation
