If that is the case...you will wait until trail. They will prove it. We are not going to able to prove their case here.

Again, all I asked for was a link to the death bands. :crosseyed:

I appreciate that Sherbie. If it's a media report that actually names a source that would be plenty good enough for me.

I'm just about positive it said "investigators" and did not name a specific person as source. I'll see if I can find it (might be tomorrow night, though, since I'm having a medical procedure out of town tomorrow afternoon). Also, I'm plain lazy and am hoping someone else will remember where it is and provide it before I get back...ha ha!

Do I think Casey is responsible for the decomp in the trunk, as in do I think she harmed Caylee and put her dead body in the trunk? Yes, I do. However, without absolute undeniable proof that the dead body in the trunk was Caylee there is the tiniest itty-bittyest possibility that the body in the trunk was someone other than Caylee. If I knew that the death band on Caylee's hair story was true, that little smidget of possibility would be gone, which is why I ask for a link every time someone presents that story as a fact.
Well, I for one, sure hope they don't bring anymore people-dead or otherwise- into this. One of my biggest fears now is that the defense will turn this trial into a total farce and that will be the last straw for me. Poor, beautiful Caylee.

You're no doubt correct in your assessment, but you would think they would try something that looks a little less foolish. Yikes! How more ridiculous can they get?!

I have a feeling we'll find out soon enough!

LOL!

Good luck with that medical procedure. :)

I must admit that while the LE seems to be holding a LOT back regarding a possible homicide I am spooked by their lack of firm conviction, not clearly stating KC is a suspect, Caylee deceased and, future charges.

They seem to use very careful language so it is hard to know if they are just playing JB, so he doesn't do as he just did and seek to pounce on this discovery with motions, in order to blindside him or -- what?

Why be so politically correct in use of 'suspect' and Caylee's disposition and clarity on the forensics? It reinforces CA's propaganda on fabrication.

ETA: and feeds the media who provide the goods, but not based on facts!
Casey was termed as a "suspect" in her daughter's disappearance. She moved from POI. It IS careful legal language. They have to be able to back up certain things before they actually name a person as a suspect. It isn't a matter of PC...it is a matter of law.

Don't believe it.

snipped.

I guess we could say that Baez is trying his case in the media.
Pot calling the kettle....

Marina, I don't think I've ever followed a trial where the defense didn't complain the case was being tried in the media, yet did their very best to influence the jury pool. Definitely pot <---> kettle!

I also think they aren't going to flat-out state publicly that Casey killed or caused the death of Caylee until they actually charge her. I believe that's pretty standard operating procedure for LE/prosecution as well.

It's difficult to be patient in that regard, but having faith that it's all being done right and on the schedule that best benefits the case and Caylee's chances for justice makes it bearable, doesn't it?

You're right, Harry G filled out the card. Why did HE write the C-?

I'm fairly certain that has nothing to do with her name. It's a code they use in-house for something. What? I have no idea.

They have said quite clearly that there is evidence of human decomposition that was found in the trunk and they have said that Caylee's hair was also found in the trunk. It's clear that they think, as do I, that Caylee's dead body was in the trunk at some point. I'm not debating any of that.

It's been posted on these boards many times that Caylee's hair WITH death bands was found in the trunk. All I want to know is if that's actually true. Every time I've asked for a link I've been basically told to go sit on it. I don't know why people get so defensive. If someone is presenting something as fact, why get all freaked when asked to provide proof of that fact?

See, I agree with you on this. I have never seen any proof that hair with bands were found- I have heard the speculation here and read "sources say" in the news but have never seen anything real that states it. Because of this I myself do not take it as fact.

Gotcha...think Casey is responsible for the decomp in the trunk?

You are one tough cookie! We won't know about the testing on the hair until a later date IMO. A lot of info here is gleaned from what the "experts" have put out. Just giving their opinions if you ask me. I go into brain freeze when I hear all the talk about death bands.
Now that is some wisdom. :)

A lead investigator in the case told WESH 2's Bob Kealing that lab results indicated Caylee's dead body was in the trunk of that car. Sources also confirmed that a stain in the trunk was not what clinched the decision that Caylee was in the trunk, but it was the strands of hair that investigators suspected all along were Caylee's.Investigators had not, until Sunday, disclosed that the decomposing body was, in fact, Caylee."The information we've gotten back from the lab that she was in the trunk of that car and that she is dead is certainly something we take seriously," said Orange County Sheriff's Office Sgt. John Allen.

The refusal to talk comes just days after sheriff's investigators announced for the first time that forensic evidence from Casey's car tells them Caylee is no longer alive.

What?! OK so it has become personal for you. I told you this before...you are not going to find out the absolute truth until trial. This should tell you something.

Where does it say that a tourist took the picture?

Well, I don't know what he would be seeing that he doesn't live in the state. What would you call him? If that nomenclature bothers you, then let's change it a bit: Why would a person TRAVELING (coughtouristcough) from another state, take a picture of some strangers in a park in another state and keep said picture of strangers when he returned from TRAVELING?

Same thing, different words.
