I was not, although I go every chance I get and was planning on being there Sunday. I usually watch from the area where the plane hit.
Talk on pilot message boards is about a mechanical failure involving the elevator, the movable horizontal surface at the tail which controls the pitch attitude.

Going to give blood this morning.
I've seen on foxnews this morning a closeup of a broken elevator on the plane as it came down yesterday. I'm unable to find the same picture yet but I'm looking. It was separated from the tail at one end. Definitely mechanical failure.
As horrific as this is, actually I was expecting it to be worse, such as capturing the impact of the plane hitting the ground. Thankfully not!panthera, thanks.
