I think it was secondary transfer from the knife that was used to cut the cord. The knife, most likely the grapefruit knife found on the laundry area counter outside her room, had been placed temporarily on the bed while JonBenet was down in the basement.

If JB was down in the basement and the grapefruit knife was used to cut the cord, do you think, then, that the cord came from within JB'S room? Or, can you say why you think the knife was laid on her bed temporarily?

The rest of the cord (or spool) was never found. In items taken from the ramsey home all drawstring type items?
Shoe strings
Sweatpants...
Seems to me the "rest" of the cord could have been placed on the bed at some point while jb was in the basement

I don't know where the cord came from, but I don't think it was JonBenet's room. As for the grapefruit knife... I believe it was placed temporarily on her bed so Patsy could gather other items, possibly the longjohns and the white top she wore earlier.
