It's certainly an AI generated picture. Neither really look like the real people they are attempting to portray.

That is not an actual, unaltered pic, imo. I do not recall BK ever being in the courtroom, other than maybe his very early appearances, in prison orange. And BK does not show expressions, although if he tried, they probably would look as fake as this photo.

Btw, Gray Hughes has put out some great streams on this case, but I found nothing particularly noteworthy about this one. I think we all here pretty much envisioned a similar scenario of when BK chose to accept the plea. The only thing I got from it was his statement that he had heard that AT had been hoping to get him to take a plea for at least a year and a half, and that really would come as no surprise to me either, if true. She knew a lot more than we all did, and we almost all knew that he was guilty and likely was going to be found guilty by then, as well. JMO

Good point. I had forgotten all about good ol' AI. Likely because I despise it so much. But I'm going with AI or actors for some movie, but NOT actually BK & AT. I even went off pulling up pics of AT to compare facial features, down to her nostrils, believe it or not. Plus, I don't think she could grow a full head of hair. I'm not dissing her, I'm noting that her hair is rather thin with scraggly ends, and the woman in that pic's hair isn't the same IMO.

Lastly, it could be the lighting but the pic we're talking about looks blonder, with a straight part, not scraggly, and with lighter roots. I say that pic isn't them.

I'm not sure that you can photoshop emotion on BKs face. Plus, normally photoshopping is to make people look better. They didn't do that for AT IMO.

So frustrated so much of this will never come out because of the plea deal. So many of the facts will never be presented. I feel like Kohberger was tired of being in jail and was resigned to his fate and wanted to get moved to prison and potentially more comfort there than the county jail.

When someone remains silent and unemotional (possibly exactly as instructed by their lawyers) then everything stated about them is a projection. We only know the facts of his crime and unless he speaks, we have no idea as to his internal landscape.

We have quite a bit more than the limited view of BK in court as influenced by his attorneys.

Information about him and how he acts has been shared publicly by former employers, former friends and colleagues, neighbors, owners of businesses and extracurricular activities he frequented, and students and professors or other teachers who interacted with him at WSU as well as other institutions he attended or worked at. We have also seen publicly available video of extended interaction between him and officers who stopped him for traffic violations. And some of his writings as shared on Tapatalk have also revealed how he writes and thinks and some of the things that concerned him - most definitely his internal landscape at the time he wrote them.

That's what I think the victim statements should state. For as much pain as BK inflicted on the families, they get to move beyond the tragedy and live. He should remember, every day, that they are living in the world and he is not. He couldn't cut it in the world. He failed.

If that said with disdain and DISMISSAL, I think that's the only thing they could say that would bother him.

SG has said he wants to know the injuries in preparation for his statement. I don't judge his personal reasons for that, but BK might enjoy hearing about the pain. I think to inflict pain on BK, dismiss him. Ignore him. Put an end to his influence.

Yes, the worst thing that he can hear is that he is a LOSER. Always was and always will be. He did all of this in part to be somebody, to be famous because he was a loser. He didn’t get the attention that he craved. I still think that he could have been snubbed by one of the 3 girls and he acted out of revenge.

I wish that no one would show up for his last hurrah, no statements to him. I wish JH would say no one is here for you today, let’s proceed with the sentencing. He has rehearsed what he will do and he is no doubt enjoying it. I think he will intentionally just give a blank stare, internally I think he will be laughing. He feels like he is in control and has the last word, albeit a crafted silent one.

The thumbs up selfie in front of his shower certainly reveals a bit of his internal landscape.

I personally don't think BK is unemotional. I think he might present a flat affect but that doesn't mean he is unemotional. Plenty of emotion in that selfie, plenty of emotion in his reported interactions with a least one professor, plenty of emotion in his almost panicked escape from 1122 King Rd in which he nearly hit a parked car as he sped off.

I do concur with you that he craved attention and likely was indeed snubbed by at least one of the girls, probably Maddie.

IMO though, I don’t believe he initially wanted to be famous. I feel that he had every intention of getting away with it, did not expect to get caught, and thought he could do so because he was under the impression that he’d prepared well.

What I think motivated him was power. Power to do to those kids whatever he chose to do, where he was in charge, where he was very important as the four victims were at his mercy. He had the power of life and death over them, which he executed brutally.

Revenge, along with attention from the girls as they had no choice but to see him in their dying moments. Revenge on a young man who had a girl, though I don’t think his initial plan involved Ethan or Xana.

Maybe he doesn’t half mind being notorious now, but I genuinely think he was certain no one would catch him. In my estimation he would have preferred to be anonymous, carrying that smug and self-satisfied feeling of triumph until he killed again.
