Other than MSM reporting that he spoke Kaylee’s name I have not seen that in any of the LE interviews. DM does not say it that morning. She never says it.

Not sure where that came from, so unless LE confirms this “fact”, I do not believe he ever said Kaylee’s name.

It's is possible that what she first heard was him speaking to Xana and saying, "It's okay, lady, I'm here for you" and she misheard 'lady' as Kaylee. It would fit if he was pretending he was some LE hero and wanting to slow/stop her.

I don't think he was playing a hero. I think he was tormenting poor Xana as she ran from him.

Dylan described his tone: "It wasn't, like....I don't know how to explain it. Like...it wasn't in a nice way but it was like in a weird way, like, in a weird tone." (About 24:50 in the video)

While Xana was running as fast she could to get away and to Ethan, BK said the phrase while walking down the stairs "systematically", not panicked as evidence by the beer pong table not being overturned.

Investigators think this is when Kohberger said, "It's OK, I’m here to help you" -- a phrase one of the two surviving roommates said she overheard from a male voice in the house, according to court documents.

Kohberger likely moved systematically, Gilbertson said, noting that a beer pong table near the stairs wasn't disturbed.

I don't mean to get too far off track from your comment. I just honestly can see it playing out like the investigator described. I used to wish that part of the plea was more details from him, obviously where the weapon is, but he is so far gone, I wouldn't believe one single word that came out of his mouth. He is a pathological liar, killer, human being. MOO.

When moving from a prepaid phone plan to a monthly phone plan, the phone number can't be kept and you must get a new phone number (at least, this is the way it used to be before I retired from Apple retail). Prepaid numbers belong to their respective phone companies, so the reason he got the new number may have meant he was switching from a pre-paid phone plan to a regular one.

Maybe he didn't want Mother and Father to be able to track his locations or the hours he kept. Time to move off the family plan and buy himself some freedom, with sinister aim all along.

Have seen lots of pics of the make and model of the weapon used, but the leather holding sheath, with a snap button.

Is the sheath presumably supposed to be looped thru a belt, and it wasn't in this case? JMO maybe 'bushy eyebrows' lost the sheath in a struggle, holding knife in predominant hand, and sheath loosely in other.

I’m going with some kind of backpack/drawstring bag containing his kill kit. No belt loops on the coveralls, maybe knife and sheath were in the bag along with other things like extra gloves, a plastic tarp, bag for clothing so that nothing ended up in the car. I think he took out the knife, put the sheath down, and was interrupted at some point by Xana and Murphy. He ran down the stairs to chase her, forgetting the sheath. All supposition on my part, of course.

To have had the interior so meticulously spotless, when seized at his arrest, as was reported by LE, #163214 apparently didn't care how nasty the exterior was. I guess he wasn't worried about DNA or blood evidence being found there. I do suppose it is possible that LE got it that dirty while breaking it down, but I highly doubt it. It looks like it was covered with road grime. Even more evidence of his attempt to cover his crimes. JMO

2. By doing what he is doing if ANYTHING bad happens to him, the prison can be held responsible, because he TOLD them there was an issue.

IMO, this is BK's protection plan in his mind.

- All complaints go by OFFICIAL channel.
- Those who receive complaints must answer him and SIGN with their names.

All this is DOCUMENTED.

This way BK's complaints cannot be swept under the rug or shrugged off as nuisance by prison authorities.

He's cunning, NEVER forget it.
He's educated & seems to know his rights.

And Media are gleefully reporting everything.

He is going to be a big pain in the neck for prison officials.
Because of his OCD - he will never give up IMO.

I just assumed Xana ran around the table. But there is enough room in between the twinkle lights and the table for someone to run that way. It's likely that she did go that way cuz she would be used to it.

Why run around the table though? IMO, if I were running from a murderous man dressed in black wielding a knife, I wouldn't be so delicate. If she'd barreled through the table it could/would have 1) caused more noise, acting as an alarm and 2) created more of a barrier than what was already there. Those tables aren't too heavy. But again, nobody knows what we'd do in this situation. Sad. IMO

The defense reached out to the prosecution, they came to an agreement for the resulting plea deal; source below.

The plea deal — the defense requested an offer from the prosecution — will take the death penalty off the table in exchange for Kohberger pleading guilty to all charges: the four first-degree murder counts and an additional charge of felony burglary.
