did he have windows? I saw what looked like a window at first but concluded it was the open cubby door ... still not sure ...
You mean in his cell, right? If he doesn't, I hope staff tells him it's time to do some serious stargazing.

He makes me sick. I was grateful for this:
I think, like you, that he will keep his secrets for awhile to enjoy just by himself. At some point though, could be next year, could be twenty years, he’s going to want to talk.
So many times we heard that he was researching and talking about and wanted to know what it felt like to commit a crime or kill somebody.
Well, now he knows. So for that reason I think he wants to sit down and talk about it all at some point. Not so much to tell it so somebody else can analyze it, but to tell how he analyzed it all. After all, he is the smartest guy in the room.
(respectfully bolded)
Right, and now he is the only guy in his room.
Agreed! Probably the only way he could be the smartest.
He can always talk to himself!

LOL, I'm enjoying picturing that!

Oh, and there was Russell Williams- Colonel in the Canadian Air Force who flew the Queen was a stalker and murderer.

Oh yeah,
Russell W. 😵‍💫
What a creep!!!

I watched the TV series "The Fall"
(with Gillian Anderson & Jamie Dornan)
loosely based on his story.
Not to mention the famous interrogation documentary.

I read that Canadian Military burnt his uniform.
He brought shame to the Army.

imo - WSU dates haven't gone into anybody's timeline yet - not even Gray Hughes - there is so much extra info in the document upload to incorporate ( A lot of work) Some key events are undateable because WSU witness statements often don't have precise dates

Nevertheless, did WSU speak with LE off the record before they terminated him?
I seriously doubt it. They wouldn't even give ISP specific info in Jan 2023 because of FERPA. They asked that LE subpoena WSU to enable them to hand it over to LE. ( Civil suits)

BTW, a lot of the newest material in the msm is inaccurate and doesn't match the dates on WSU stuff which has already been pasted onto WS so they're unreliable sources for any timeline

BK is an idiot, he made it easy for WSU. ( By failing in his grades, his attendance and his TA role and TA workload. If he'd have performed in those roles, he would've been able to fight WSU and drag it out on the harassment and discrimination allegations )

Only the luckiest have this hehe

Something more:

"Inside the search for Bryan Kohberger:

Consumed by 4 murders,
Idaho police never stopped."

I know you don't like people mentioning this Dotta but you must have noticed that we're on a merry go round of clarifying.
There's a reason that Kevin Fixler also has to keep issuing corrections and urging us to ... scrutinize and not take stuff at face value - especially not when people have literally
already posted official sources or actual dates onto WS ;)

Well, only AI is likely to have the job, and all our electricity bills will reflect that as AI sucks energy, but not to digress...

I can imagine it's frantic at news outlets now trying to read all the documents and report quickly - especially if reporters haven't been keeping up with details on the case for years.

I appreciate the summaries HERE on WS and the podcasters who read the docs aloud.

As much as I didn't think I would read a book on this crime, it might be useful for the timeline aspect. An author could spend the time organizing it. I really am not that interested in BK as he stresses me out and I don't find him fascinating in the slightest, but I am interested in the timeline.

Freud would have a thing or two to say about it.

Guessing it was a complex dynamic. Mother and Father both, intuitively afraid of what he might do, left to his own devices. (I'm going to assume they feared drugs, theft, self-harm, not murder.)

I think he actually hated his mother. Controlling her satisfied his daily fix. He held them hostage, through guilt, fear, fidelity, pity, something. In them, he had an unfettered audience, monologue central, I expect.

Every day they got him through was perhaps a victory, an exhausting victory but a victory all the same. I wonder if he created a verbal fantasy social life, where they may have actually felt he was finding his way, fitting in, etc.

Pool party? He saw it as a fishbowl for phone number fishing. Must have felt quite powerful to him to decide who was and wasn't worthy of his perfect attention.

Where did he get this gross, inflated ego??????

A trove of personal selfies? Shirtless, puffed up chest. Impressing himself over and over?

Didn't last a single term in WA. For all the reasons, preoccupied with his greatness and the crime he was plotting long before he even landed himself at WSU. IMO this was the thesis and dissertation he planned all along.

Heartless criminal, barely disguised by a dress shirt.

Agree, I think the murderer 'punched down' on everyone around him; parents, classmates, food service employees, the population at large. He constantly felt the need to control the narrative and be the smartest guy in the room. 🤬

His parents were emotionally held captive by him IMO. 'Mother' was probably the first female in his life that he learned to manipulate and control. I wonder what his relationships with his sisters were like? Not healthy veering into Creepy I would guess.

He was appealing his termination? Seriously?

jmopinion
Way too many complaints some sexual and intimidation tactics, poor communication with students and Professors. Yeah, no.

The murderer wasn't going to get his TA job back not if he begged on bended knee. WSU knew he was trouble and a potential lawsuit waiting to happen.

and a short fuse ( temper)

in the ISP dump, he's having a hissy fit over his hotel bill within a day of arriving in WA.
Okay , yes they made a billing error and had to correct it but apparently he got ' really upset'

After it's resolved he then flirts with one of the hotel staff and initiates a discussion about knives with her!

unstable and fixated as soon as he arrives. ( this is end of June 2022)

Agree completely. And, I don't think the murders were a factor in his termination. He wasn't returning to the PhD program even if he wasn't a murderer.

To be fair...
Some bills can result in fits in present times

Although I'm not sure about "hissy",
but cardio attacks maybe?

Anyway, my point is:
this criminal has obvious MH issues,
his reactions are distorted.
Inadequate for the given situation.

Good points, to be sure...

IMO, he could be wanting to or already has/is starting to write up "his manifesto", even if only in his own head...

Maybe he's just waiting for the "vehicle" like an Ipad or whatever, or maybe he never ever plans to do so cuz he has stayed completely silent all along on any details since his arrest and through his guilty pleas.

Personally, I don't think it makes a bit of difference to him whether other inmates are "bothering him" by yelling stuff into the air ducts or whatever, because his physical safety is assured by the wardens and he's physically separated from contact with anyone but prison staff/not in GP/more like solitary confinement for his own protection AFAIK.

Not to poo poo that there is probably an underlying threat to him overall from so many quarters now that he's down for the count with 4 guilty pleas & life sentences for murder of innocents and in lockup for the rest of his born days.

But I truly believe he's not going to be able to be physically accessed by people who want to take him out... "Jeffrey Style" (Dahmer or Epstein... if Epstein's death in prison wasn't suicide of course).

JMO
Agree, inmates yelling through the duct work isn't scaring him, but I do think it's p is sing him off. I believe the murderer only allows outside influence in his personal space on HIS terms only, and they're sure bothering his rigid self imposed schedule. Good. :p

The murderer still has outside rec time, shower time and maybe even attends religious services. I think any prisoner could be at risk under the right circumstances. Do I think it will happen? I honestly don't know. There are a lot of SK's and Mass Murderers in prison that have done okay for a long time, but I think this murderer has a unique way of getting under people's skin.

"Bryan Kohberger's Classmates

Recall Seeing Him Covered in Injuries for Weeks After Idaho Murders.

Students at Washington State University told police
they saw Kohberger for the first time two weeks after the murders,
still covered in injuries.

  • Bryan Kohberger disappeared for a week after the murders, with no reports from any agencies having any information on his whereabouts.
  • He returned to class at Washington State University on Nov. 29, 2022, and multiple classmates noticed he had injuries on his hands and started to wear a puffy coat in class.
  • Kohberger blamed the injuries on boxing, an indoor accident and a car accident to different people at different times, according to interviews released by Idaho State Police."
Wow! There are many extra tidbits in that article.

I don't think we know that he didn't hate his mother or what 'strange' dynamic they had.
That is true. I just heard that he liked to talk to him mom often but then again maybe it has nothing to do with her and he just liked to hear himself talk. I mean I can't imagine he had many other people that wanted to talk to him either.

  • #357
I wonder how he funded his druggie lifestyle
I don't know anything about heroin but it can't be cheap
He could have funded it from the things he allegedly stole from his friends father's house.

I don't think it's the taunting words that bother him as much as the noise. The whole routine and isolation might be tolerable, but I think the noise level will get to him. From what I understand, it's loud in prison.

And the lights never turn off. For a night owl who prowls around the dark for kicks, not experiencing darkness ever again might wear on him too.

But not making friends or being taunted, I don't think that will bother him. He might not even notice that aspect.

jmopinion
I think he could have returned to the program if he was willing to pay his own tuition and fees, as he was terminated from his TA position. But they probably knew that that was highly unlikely, and that he wouldn't be returning to the program without his TA position.

Even at night in their cells the lights don't turn off?
