Okay, cool. I suppose the main thread may still be the best thread for important updates, which would be easier to find there if more of the ad-nauseum/deep-dive discussions on specific evidence and theories migrated to the new subthreads.

I am hopeful the ad nauseum part of the deep dives will be minimized because everyone isn't scrolling through 2000 pages trying to find "that post" that has the link to what they want to talk about. Once upon a time, in a galaxy not that far away, when a thread spread to forum size most people posted new updates on the main thread, then spun off to talk about details. If you ( the generic you) don't care about specifics of the suspects, you don't go to that thread. If you don't care about ransom notes, you don't go there. It doesn't mean the info isn't on the main thread, just gives people a place to theorize and dissect information-- if they want to.Okay, cool. But I get that people can still talk about those things on the main thread if they would prefer, and anyone who finds that repetitive can skim on past because this is a sleuthing site and sluethers gonna slueth.Thanks to everyone for the hours of work you put in to make this easier. Every day, someone would post something like, "I don't have time to scroll through all of these posts to find what I am looking for."
