I personally don't want him to talk officially until he is a bit more stable, else it might not be usable and could be quite easily challenged.
They don't keep people in the hospital very long for anything else. Unless George is having some sort of surgery or heart trouble he must be going to another treatment facility for mental health reasons. Maybe he is an alcoholic that he is going into rehab to treat.
Yep ..
He was in good enough shape to walk to the car rather than take an ambulance to the hospital ..
A few beers, some pizza, a couple of blood pressure pills ..
That's NOT a suicide attemp ..
That's a cry for help ..
Bolded by me
I think it's a fun night out, not a cry for help. Plus I think this family needs to stop fighting each other to see who is the biggest "victim". Caylee is, end of story.
What about this being a defense ploy? GA is mentally unstable and can't testify against his monster of a daughter?
I'm just not sure what to believe... the A's are NOT to be trusted or taken at face value...
<<I know he mentioned getting a pizza later when he checked in the hotel "Hotel owners told Eyewitness News that Anthony checked in and said he was just tired of driving for the night. He asked about getting a pizza, paid $35 and went to his room.">>
Did GA pay cash for the $35 room?
In that article, it states he took about two weeks worth of sleeping pills and blood pressure medication along with about eight beers. Sounds like a pretty real suicide attempt to me.
Here is CA if you don't say the words "I am going to kill myself" then there is no way anyone can make you stay unless you are declared incompetent. There would be a court process for that and takes time and is painful and difficult.
The choice to leave I would think will be up to George. At least it would be here in CA but I do not know if it is different in FL.
I read it a bit differently. Or perhaps they added a word.

Eyewitness News has learned George drank as many as eight bottles of beer and mixed that with possibly two weeks' worth of sleeping pills and blood pressure medication.
If I recall it was said at the beginning, perhaps the 911 call that George had taken 2 weeks worth of blood pressure meds well as some sleeping pills from the house.
This article makes it sound as if he ingested 14 sleeping pills! But upon closer reading, all Eyewitness News has learned seems to be that he drank 8 bottles of beer. And they left out the pizza!

This was a poorly written article from the beginning.I read it differently - just because he "took" those items from the house does not mean that he "took" [ingested] them...
Does it matter how he paid? I don't mean to sound like a jerk - but what would using one method of payment over another have to do with anything?
I srarted this yesterday--However I feel this entire situation with GA is very detrimental to the entire case---I do believe that he may have thrown himself under the bus and what he testified in front of the Grand Jury,or may have known is null and void----WHY because he is incompetent!!!! This may have been way too much for him to endure, and I do believe that he is hurting,,however I do wonder who will throw themself under the bus next???? CA,LA???
I think the Grand Jury could judge his competence (or lack thereof) when he testified before them. He was represented by a competent attorney (Nejame) who did not claim George was incompetent. So, I would assume he was fully competent at the Grandy Jury hearing.
I am not his doctor, so I cannot say whether he is incompetent at this very moment but I can tell you that competency isn't a black and white issue. You can be competent one moment and incompetent the next.
but in the court of law you only need to present the "competent" self and the judge will say "see ya"--- It is up to the judge whether or not he is competent or not.....
