Since you can't drive 2 cars at the same time, tells me that there may be an accomplice as well as a murderer running loose.

I just hate when 2nd hand accomplices wait until they are caught before telling on suspect.

LE should give a presser and let the accomplice know that they will not get heavy jail time if they come forward today.

Don't forget one of their properties was very close to where thwir pick up was found.

so, what is the motive then... No life insurance pay out without a body. Were his parents looking to liquidate their portion of the refuse business and he didn't want them to because it wouldn't be left to him and whomever else in the family? OR conversely, if they are gone, does their portion of the business become his?

Can't recall - is he their only child?

I believe there are other children.

On Aug. 19, state police, who are handling the case, searched Kyle Navin’s home on Aldine Avenue in Bridgeport, where it is currently surrounded by yellow police tape and being treated as a crime scene.

Police sources said Navin packed up his car and took off after being questioned by police. He refused the police’s request to take a polygraph test, and is reportedly not cooperating with authorities.

Sanitation company up for sale in CT. Couple drowning in debt. Priest says they have 6 kids, one special needs child. Owner is driving a route truck. Son has a broken back. The squeeze was on. Mismanagement and bully competition. Someone wanted to sell bad. Maybe lazy relatives who also own the business? Maybe they put all their money into the business and the others just took?

Who broke his back? Message to mom and dad to sell at the right price? Is he hiding from LE or something very sinister? It just sounds so mob movie to me.

OTOH it is more than likely just a nut job, junkie son who needed something and they couldn't give it.

Focus on Kyle Navin intensified.

Police have searched the home of the Navins' son, Kyle, who run his family's trash business that sends incinerated waste to an ash landfill in eastern Connecticut.

Authorities say they also searched that landfill looking for human remains or jewelry.

A new court filing reveals prosecutors have searched Kyle Navin's cellphone records and bank accounts.

They also searched the cellphones of three other people, including a New York City number.

If they did deliberately disappear, putting pressure on the son is the mostly likely way to get them to come back. I wonder how long a couple would allow their son to be in that situation, when they could clear it up.

I do think with that much debt on paper, there could well have been a lot of undocumented shady dealings, perhaps the son knows about it and doesn't want to talk to police for that reason.

Unfortunately, I don't think this will turn out well.
