Don't know, probably only known to the investigators conclusively... but I would hope that they used his voice samples for Melissa's sister and Sara Karnes to listen to, see if they recognized him in any way. Also, it's worth noting that the investigators have never ruled Shannan Gilbert as a LISK victim, even if they changed their minds on whether her death was homicide or accidental.

The SCPD by not laying any charges, or even designating anybody as a POI have, after many years of investigating, have de facto ruled everybody out. The fact Brewer has taken the Fifth, answering questions under oath, shows Brewer himself believes he has committed crimes, yet the SCPD have laid no charges. It makes no sense to me.

If anyone remembers the self proclaimed escort "Leanne", she herself said she believed she saw Brewer at the sex party in which Burke attended. Brewer has to know Burke.

In addition -If that's the case it's pretty pathetic that these so called human beings attended a party right after SG, GB4 etc were all found dead.
Brewer and Burke are two peas in a pod. And I am sure there are many more just like them. The good ole boys. Again, Burke made NO effort to speak about or any physical attributes in hunting down LISK that I recall.

Did they ever describe what age the killer sounded like? Sometimes I wonder if one of the sons of oak beach would pick the girls up for those party's. Get them to feel comfortable on multiple dates with a younger guy and they drop their guard. Listened to the podcast again JB certainly tries to single himself out it seems from rest of community for some reason.

The only thing I remember about their descriptions of his voice-- both said it-- was that it didn't have a strong New York accent, or New England accent. Assuming the same person spoke to Amber and Sara Karnes of course, which isn't set in stone either. So many deep deep rabbit holes with this case.

Thanks for taking the time to clarify that, there, @PillowofWinds . So, back to cocaine. I'm guessing TC wasn't Brewer's only supplier. Wondering what types of drugs TC supplied, if drugs in addition to cocaine. Usually dealers don't deal in just one drug, from what I've gathered through the years. Again, just wondering, in the Oak Beach community who was getting what drugs from where. I can't imagine there was a big dealer there, but maybe a small hub and several buyers. Unless there's something/someone bigger we're missing in the picture, who lived in that area. IMO

Sadly, SCPD has no interest in this case, or the death of Shannan Gilbert. The SCPD stated, they did a thorough investigation, interviewed many witnesses, and found no reason to lay criminal charges. They also state that Shannan died of natural causes. Nobody in LE is going to take a closer look at anything.
