Well according to SCPD, because it is part of an ongoing investigation. Is the ongoing investigation that the call is part of the LISK investigation? Well, SCPD has not specified that it is, or that it is not...which probably means that it is...
And if it is part of LISK investigation (or even if its not), what persons are mentioned on the call? Whose voices are audibly identifiable? Which persons are referenced (as in by name specifically, or more generically as an identifiable group etc.)?
The FBI, I’m sure, has had access to this call for a LONG time. After all, had the 911 call not been transferred to the NY State Police as it was happening, there probably wouldn’t be a recording of it. It would have ‘disappeared’ a long time ago.

According to Ray, the copy of the 911 call that he received, as mandated by the court, was physically delivered to him by SCPD, but the actual recording came from the NY State Police. So it was the NY State Police that actually had the recording all along, which is why it is safe to assume that the FBI also has knowledge of its contents (along w. SCPD, the NY State Police, 911 dispatchers etc.)...lots of filks know exactly what is on that call.

PC Hart is now working on the 1990 murder of Detective Wustenhoff who was killed with a car bomb. The thing about it is they know who did it and why it happened and they knew this for 30 years. EVERYBODY knows who and why it happened. I think she looks silly when she does interviews regarding that case

Yeah, I get it...and just because everyone knows the particulars of a specific case, possibly including identities of most likely suspects/POIs, that doesn’t necessarily equate to an arrest, especially if there is little or no credible evidence to warrant an arrest...
And when there are legitimate concerns calling into question the integrity of Suffolk County LE, it should just be assumed that any and all evidence collected is potentially tainted/compromised. And then you end up w. the scenario where everyone knows who the POI/suspects are but there are never any arrests.

I think I get what you are saying. The circumstances surrounding the case had its own problems. But when you look at PC Hart's taped interview one gets the impression this case is a mystery. BTW, a lack of evidence never stopped SCPD from making an arrest before. No one suggests this cop deserved to die - it happens.

When my former son in law was sentenced Judge Hudson read off ALL the names of the fallen officers. He did that to shame the son in law saying he disgraced their memory. Wustenhoff died for a personal reason and had nothing to do with his work in narcotics. He might have been a super-hero for all I know.

Yeah, PC Hart is in a tough spot. Spota/Burke alliance during their tenure, especially w. LISK case...what a mess. No way to know for sure about anything re: LISK investigation except for what can be proven/evidence...
Which is why I think she comes off as if, as you said, as if this case were a complete mystery...
Which is why I think that the 911 call has been kept from the public. No one in SCPD wants that call released publicly, for totally different reasons. Hart because it may be one of the only pieces of evidence (if in fact the call is related to this case), that she knows wasn’t botched (thanks to the NYS Police audio recording).

Windsor, check in with yourself as you seem to be out of touch - LOL. Pc Hart is the Suffolk County PD police commissioner. At this point in time Hart has most everything to do with Shannan Gilbert case. Don't worry it is a sign of getting old. I suffer the same most days. lol

Hawkshaw, I am old, I have a valid excuse!
What confused me, was the initials PC. I was not sure they were initials of given names or in some jurisdictions PC meant Police Constable. I now realise it can mean Police Chief or Police Commissioner.

I might also ask is Police Commissioner Hart any different than the previous SCPD Commissioners? I mean in the sense of actively pursuing resolution to both the LISK murders and Shannan Gilbert's death?

I really believe Hart is a fine and decent human being. I do think she was chosen for cosmetic reasons. She swims in shark infested waters. I wish her well. The PC before her was another (Sini) picked for cosmetics. In that case he was being groomed by Bellone to run for DA. The PC before him (Webber) was an empty suit

Webber did NOT pick Burke to be his Chief. Bellone didn’t have the decency to make it look like it was Webber’s choice. Just read the press realeases when Burke was picked. Webber had nothing to do with that. Why did Bellone Shepard Sini to be DA.. That is another story for another day

Considering that she came directly from FBI, is it safe to assume that FBI is in fact active in this investigation, as has been previously stated? I would think so (at least hope so, anyway).

The Agent in Charge before Hart spent a lot of time at Oheka Castle. The Melius shooting is still open. The Burke/Spota investigation was run out of the Manhattan public corruption unit. What does that tell you?
