Poisonous Snake Disappears from Bronx Zoo

  • #21
My teen-age grandson thought it was hilarious that a "snake" finally prompted me to check out Twitter. But I swear, I've been looking around the house just in case.....

Another reason to stay on the opposite end of the zoo from the snakes.

I'm going to miss her tweets! I told my brother about the tweets and he was laughing so hard he couldn't catch his breath! LOL

I'm glad she was found and is OK.....

I was laughing myself silly over some of those tweets as well! One thing I was wondering, do we know who is responsible for the tweets? I really don't know much about twitter at all. Is it just some random person with a great sense of humor that decided to tweet as the snake or possibly a staff member from the zoo?

I often lament that I have no sense of humor but I was laughing so hard over the tweets, it was such an example of making lemonade out of a lemon situation and just plain funny.

What do cobras eat? Maybe they set out some mice (dead or alive) or dabbed some animal scent in various corners of the building, prey snakes, or perhaps even male cobra scent.

Looks like they will eat pretty much anything smaller than themselves (the cobra in this case was rather small at 20"), but their primary prey is smaller snakes.
