I was just reading my local news and found this..My heart is in my stomach after reading :(..Thankfully Pookie the dog is alive..

snipped~

Police and firefighters responded to a report of a house fire in the 200 block of Perry Avenue just after 4 p.m. Tuesday. The officer who responded said that firefighters found a dog house in the back yard of a home turned over with smoke coming out of it.

The firefighters said inside the dog house they found a dog that had been set on fire. The dog was chained and had a cinder block on its head preventing it from moving.

That poor dog. How could anyone do this? I hope the perp is arrested and sent away for a long, long time.
I do think this little dog will have a loving home as a result of this, and hope he has a cushy life from here on out. And also hope that his vision is not totally gone.

It is so hard to conceive of what would lead a person to commit such extreme cruelty. Would this be a serial-killer-in-training?
