Police say parents are not answering vital questions #3

Ok, many snipped posts for clarity.
`snipped for brevity`

If not much evidence is needed, then why no arrest yet?

Prosecutor wants to ensure a conviction. There really is no hurry and anything the parents say can be used against them. Big interview coming up on Dr. Phil......

Yeah, pretty much nothing I can think of that I wouldn't do to find any of my four kids. From my understanding, they haven't spoken to KCPD since the first week, and the story changed many times since then, from the accounts I saw the parents give on TV. This BS of lawyering up & changing whatever rules/law you choose is despicable. It's sickening that $$$ talks in the US, it's all about how much you have or what "connections" you have.
KCPD has stated they have spoken. The media has even filmed them meeting after the first week. After Steve Young went on tv stating they were not cooperating even. Le had permission for all of the searches. THAT takes communication. And what "all" do they have exactly?

What are the odds that DB/JI will confess on the Dr Phil show?

Who changed what rules/laws in this case?

What are the odds that DB/JI will confess on the Dr Phil show?

Same odds as Scott Peterson confessing to Diane Sawyer.

Confession not needed.

Not sure what you mean with Scott Peterson. If they don't confess, what do you expect them to say that will get them convicted?

Their own words.

Worked for Peterson.

It is too late now for Lisa and to interview them. They have been coached and they present a solid front, not wanting to leave each other's side. My guess is out of fear. together they are strong, apart they are weak.

They needed to get these two in the first week...and break them down. Yes, I said break them down. That is the way you do it. LE did it with that girl across town, she broke and told them where she put the baby.

DB has followed missing childrens' cases; she knows the deal. She is controlling JI. If JI is not involved in his daughter's death, he is in a world of doo. If he were not involved, though, he would want answers. In the world of love and logic, he would want answers. In his world, he seeks something else.

This case is going the same way the misty croslin/ronald cumnings couple did it. He married the perp a month after Haleigh vanished. Marrying the "KEY" to his daughter's whereabouts?? Wrong on so many levels. We see this with Jeremy. Some men are just plain "Stupid" when it comes to a woman.

bbm1 - they had them in the first week
bbm2 - please provide link - I have heard nothing about Deb following missing childrens cases except in passing that when she hears about them...
<modsnip> Deb AND Jeremy, their relationship and their actions.
I'm fairly certain that I have seen, read and investigated this case as much as the next person and I don't KNOW Deb or Jeremy quite as well as you profess to. <modsnip>

I'm sure dying his hair and trying to get out of town didn't work against him either. That was the very definition of trying to hide.

Well, I guess for the people who already have tried and convicted them, their saying anything would be held against them.

At the time of the interviews, Peterson had not been named a suspect, Laci and Connor's bodies had not been found and he was still living in his own home.

Kinda like this case.

There really is no hurry.

A fair and impartial jury is also allowed to hold it against them.

Which is why most attorneys usually advise their clients to not speak at all.

CNN's Jim Spellman said last week KCPD told him the same thing they've been telling him since the first week; they still want to speak to them. Have they went in since then?

So your saying that it's probably not a good idea for DB/JI to talk to the police at this time?

And the attorneys are allowing them to go on national tv why then?

When did he do the interviews? Was it 4 months after Laci went missing? Couldn't have been, because 4 months into the investigation the bodies were found and Scott had dyed his hair, had a ton of cash on him, etc.

  • #939
An attorney can't force a client to follow their advice.

JMO

It's not just the attorney that's advising them not to talk to KCPD.

Good question? I'm still trying to figure out what they are going to say that will help get them convicted.
