You misspelled ludicrous. And yes, they ARE about making people change their minds. Yes they are. What do you think reinterviews are about, and good cop bad cop, and telling people that their friends ratted them out, and they have evidence they don't have, etc.

Yes they ARE about making people change their minds.

I disagree with you. LE don't re-interview small children in order to change their mind. Whatever would be said under those conditions would be pointless and inadmissable evidence.

There was a family birthday party that afternoon - not at Lisa's home but another home. My guess is, there are people who can verify Lisa was there.

The birthday party was the Sunday afternoon before the Monday that Lisa disappeared.

Not to mention, most likely taped.

DB says the kids heard noises BUT that she hasn't asked them about the noises. Cold..hearted.

I think she's lost track of her lies.

Yes they ARE about making people change their minds.

But they would not do that to a 6 and 8 yr old.these boys are not going to testify to anything in court and they are not going to have an impact on a jury. But they might hold the key to the truth about what happened that night.

Like for example, when did they last SEE their baby sister ? Where was mom at that time? And WHO ELSE was there that night, if anyone.

They said they heard noises that night. I think it is important to know more about those noises. imoo

Arrest them!

Or, we could just burn them at the stake.

:seeya:

I'm starting to question WS's supposedly "victim friendly" environment.

UNTIL we have a statement from LE that the parents are considered suspects, I consider them victims in this case.

"I'd don't feel alcohol changes a person that much."

Ridiculous defensive statement, IMO. I think if someone drinks alcohol often, that person might not realize how it makes them act. Besides, DB is not a qualified expert, but someone trying to wiggle out of being blamed for her missing daughter.

CEASE and DESIST with the snark.

The topic of this thread is listed above and has to do with police statement that parents are not answering vital questions.

General rule of thumb--if the response you are about to post contains "you" in it, then consider carefully before posting.

Where this post falls is random.

Missouri does have the death penalty but of course a trial is required first.

The couple spoke to a DP-qualified attorney before hiring Tacopina. I was  and thought someone was really putting the cart before the horse. But that female attorney might know enough about the case that she chose not to become involved.

I disagree; not about changing their minds, about getting the real and complete story. Changing of minds should not even come into it. I do have my doubts as to the usefullness of these children, personally. Especially two highly eventful weeks later.

IIRC Elizabeth Smart's parent refused to have the little sister Mary Katherine interviewed as they didn't want to cloud her memory. The parent didn't discuss it with her either.

Interesting. What's the source for that info? And Tacopina has secured a woman as local counsel - wondering if it's the same one.

"I read that Deb herself said that the boys said that they did hear something going on that night... and presumably this is what they told LE when they were interviewed. MOO "
Respectfully snipped from : liz b.

Yes, I read that as well. Something about "noises" that were unfamiliar to the other kids.( Not trying to sleuth the other siblings; it was definitely in an article and now I can't find it.)
What is annoying is that when trying to locate a news article from a website; sometimes after a day or less , I can't find it anymore !!!! Grrr!!! Then I can't link to it. Most news websites have an archive section --- but good luck finding what was previously posted/written.

When I was in HS, I baby-sat in the summer for my next door neighbors kids. I remember that they liked routine --same cereal for breakfast, play outside or we'd walk to the park until lunch, go home, eat lunch, ( consisting of the same boring sandwiches--pb &j ).
Point to all of this is that I found that kids like routine and any variations to it (sometimes I made rice krispie treats or cookies for them) are what they remember from that day.
If LE can speak to the siblings; maybe they could ask --- "What was that day like ? Anything new/different happen ? Any people over to the house that you were unfamiliar with ? Etc.."
I would think even the most chaotic of households would have some 'normal routine', where kids would notice something out of the ordinary.

If the parents are responsible for Lisa's "missing" status, then they alone are the ones who have brought the big wrecking ball to their lives. Blaming it on LE won't change anything. Just makes themselves look worse in the eyes of the public.

Sometimes I'd swear that is her goal...

That could be true. I know several criminal defense attorneys who won't take a case if they believe the client is guilty.

An LE -friendly forum too, as far as I know. There is no evidence of wrongdoing on their part either. In fact, Mom seems at least to be guilty of some degree of negligence, IMO, for being drunk or drinking while caretaking...

Kathleen Zellner. She was part of the panel that discussed the case on Justice with Jeanine Pirro over the weekend. There's a thread for the FNC show if you didn't see the program.

Here's the AP source for that "the children heard noises" thing:
She also said her two sons, aged 6 and 8, say they heard noises the night Lisa disappeared, although she doesn't know if they heard noises before they went to sleep or later in the night and she doesn't want them to be involved in the investigation.

I do, too but thanks to the parents' deplorable comments and whining about LE, I've given up on believing this was all a hoax and Lisa is alive.

Thanks. For some reason (inability to read, perhaps!) I thought the female counsel was local. I remember now the Zellner story.
