LOL! Yes! I'm very familiar with procrastination but it would take something beyond that for KC to leave a body in the trunk of her car, presumably knowing it would begin to.. well... stink.

I've definitely gotten the impression that KC is extraordinarily lazy - but that lazy is beyond belief!

Casey Anthony = Denial of Reality

Of course she did!
Even TL said she was rushing out with the trash & laundry.....

I think Casey would have done whatever was most convenient and the least amount of work if it meant getting what she wanted (time with friends, partying, sex, etc). She can obviously rationalize anything she does or just deny it - so I don't think she would have cared for a moment if she thought putting Caylee in the trunk would let her do what she wanted...

snipped

I bet Tony wishes her never met her!! Can you imagine him knowing now that while he was in bed with KC, Caylee's little body was out in the trunk of the Pontiac?

..

Imagine the nightmares the poor guy has. :(
I wouldn't be surprised if PTSD crept up on him too.

To know Casey is to have your life all messed up. IMO

I don't think so because there wasn't any mention of food crumbs, juice spills, or even accidents in the trunk... I think. Correct me if I'm wrong but if she woke up without bound hands, she would scratch her nails into the carpet?
I am completely disturbed by the 10,000 times the amount of Chloroform that had come off of a decomposing body before.. eeek

She certainly could have the night of the 16th & the day of the 17th. She spent all day of the 17th in bed with AL. Caylee wasn't there - so where was she?

I am not understanding you. Why would there have to be food crums or drink spills in the trunk for her to be in there?

The 10,000 times the amount of chloroform would knock Caylee out, if she was in there with that concentration there would be no waking up.

Not meaning to be picky just don't understand :)

Sorry, I didn't realize how that wording sounded. What I meant to say was that I don't think she was regularly kept in the trunk, until the 16th. I would bet that the argument on Father's Day had something to do with her leaving Caylee all the time.
With the amount of Chloroform, I would assume that Caylee would not wake up once exposed.

Actually, now that I think about it, I hope that the SA shows how much that amount of chloroform is in relation to killing someone. I haven't read anything about that, yet. But when they do (hopefully) it will be another nail in the coffin.

I think it is very lkely that she kept Caylee in the trunk often, to hide her while she slept.

I live in Calgary Alberta Canada. There was a guy a few years back who took his son with him to the casino and could not take his 21 month old son inside with him, obviously.
The baby was found in his car seat crying, covered in vomit, in pjamas and no socks or shoes. It was March in Calgary and subsequently BELOW zero. In fact it was -9 degrees celcius or 15 F. The man had used a BLANKET to cover the windows of the CAR! NOT to cover his child and keep him warm in the frigging freezing temps. but to cover the car windows so no one would see his son alone in the car.

ETA!! CORRECTION BlanketS Plural "The windows of the van were covered with blankets."

I think cars are babysitters for more children than we truly know.

As I have said on another thread.. Caylee was probably hidden away often when she was a baby. Babies sleep well in car seats, specially the bucket seats that you can carry in and out of the car with out taking the baby out of the car seat. How easy it would be to put a sleeping baby in a closet while you drink and party with friends. But as she got older, she moved into a larger car seat and you cant leave a child alone in a car seat in a car, someone is sure to see that and call the cops. So the next most likely place to hide a sleeping (knocked out) child... would be in the trunk of the car.

It tears my heart out to think it is true, but i personally believe Caylee spent a lot of time in there along, knocked out.

It is unthinkable that a child would be locked in the trunk of a car anywhere or at any time, but it must feel like an oven in the Florida heat. I cannot even fathom what it would be like! In these parts, people who leave pets in a vehicle without proper ventilation can be fined for pet endangerment. It is simply beyond belief that someone would do this to a child.

Around the time she went missing it averaged about 76F at night in Orlando. Somewhere on this board I listed the daily temps at night and humidity. At night it was possible but, not until the sun went down and a few hours after probably.

I'm asking this question simply because the more I think about it the less I'm inclined to believe that even KC kept Caylee in the trunk of the car at any time before she was killed. I'm thinking it's Florida, extremely hot, even at night it can be stifling, especially inland, and I doubt that Caylee would have survived for hours, drugged or not, in the trunk of a car while KC partied. At Florida temperatures, any person would be dead after just a few minutes with very little air circulation. I don't know, it just doesn't seem plausible that Caylee would survive even one night in the trunk of a car. I DO wonder, though, what KC was doing with Caylee on the nights when it seemed that neither she nor her mother had Caylee.
So, please vote your answer and make your case. I'm curious as to whether or not others have re-thought this scenario.

I have had this same thought! In June/July, Florida, it is hot, the trunk of a car is hotter. To keep a child drugged in a trunk so you can go be with a guy would be ridiculous. It could only mean death. Maybe in the winter in the North a trunk could be a babysitter. Not so in this case.

I think this too. But I also think peopl are missing an important point. It is not necessary for KC to have put her in the trunk more than once.

There are a few things that don't make sense about a lot of theories. For example if she was planning on murdering her child, I doubt very much that she would not have concocted some sort of story to cover her self.

She could have easily let Caylee drown in the parents pool if she just wanted to be rid of her. Stories like this happen every year. Tragic and horrible and she'd be able to play the victim, torture her parents and get away with it.

No, it seems odd she'd be that stupid.

What I think might have happened is that she decided for one night to put Caylee in the trunk. She put her in the trunk for the reason mentioned above, so no one would see her. For all we know she could have been using Chloroform on Caylee for months to get her to fall asleep. Once a kid falls asleep they usually stay asleep. It's the getting them to get there that is the problem.

So she goes out has a great time and comes back and finds Caylee has passed away. Freaks out and tries to figure out what to do. Maybe she comes home and decides to try to make it look lie she drowned in the pool.

But George catches her and tells her that they will be able to tell she didn't drown. So she buries her in the sand pit. Then the body is moved later.

The smell in the car came from bodily fluids that leaked from Caylee between being driven from the place she died to the Anthony home.

A kid who is dead for a few hours could still look likes she is sleeping if it is before rigamortis sets in.

George helps KC hide the body and tells her to go home and call the police and report Caylee missing. George thinks she's done it. But then as she is continuing to talk to her mother he realizes that she's not done it. He can't do anythin because it will look strange.

The smell from the car comes from the small amount of decomp left while KC was driving with her in the trunk and as it gets worse KC realizes she's screwed. They will know that she had a body in there. So she throws thebag of garbage in the trunk thinking it will cover it up.

Working theory at the moment.

One very strong possibility that has entered my mind is that Caylee was getting older and much more verbal. So whatever Casey was doing with Caylee while she wanted to party and be with all her "boyfriends" so many that she does not who the father is she I think was getting afraid that Calyee was going to be able to start talking as to what is was.
So the possibility is she could have been stashing the poor little thing somewhere knocked out and bound,,,I can't even think of it.

I totally believe that since Casey could not find a babysitter that Caylee was placed there in the trunk after receiving chloroform to knock her out. The duct tape IMO was placed on Caylee's mouth to keep her quiet after she came out of the sleep. The only problem is she died from it and never woke up so Casey kept her in there and didn't remove her.

If the back seat opened into the trunk, wouldn't she have had to remove the carseat to get the back seat down? Also, if you're drugging your child and putting her in the trunk why do you care enough about her comfort to provide an air mattress? It seems like it would be difficult, time-consuming, and awkward to set all that up.
Well, she wasn't actually working, so what was she doing all day?

The only time I think she was ever left in the trunk was after she was killed for 2.6 days.

ITA IM, Pretty specific isn't it for a reason. I also think the stain was well defined like something leaking {sorry}. And it was in place for enough time to make the stain substantial.
