I think his ship is sinking but he is going down paddling. The photos of all the witnesses who did not smell decomp was his one good moment.

I think the hairband and dr. Vass analysis made it very clear to me that there was a dead body in the car. The first officer who was called wasn't told the car smelled funny, he was there for another 911 not the Caylee is missing 911. And the others might've not come close to the car.

JB made the mistake by mentioning questions never answered - because those were HIS comments that led to questions never answered.

Good point. Also his comment about playing to emotion applied to the defense far more than the prosecution. Playing to emotion was the sole purpose of his entire opening statement. In addition, he seems to want to imply that the prosecution blamed KC without enough proof...but what about what Baez did to George and Roy Kronk? People who live in glass houses should wear underwear..and Baez seems to have forgotten his. Hope the jury agrees.

:sick::banghead:

Can't wait to see him present Casey's imaginary friends to this jury. He even has hairstyles and clothing on them. No faces though.

:gasp:

I agree! I think the jury will get that too.

Question ~ When Baez removed all photo's except GA from the group of people who smelled decomp he made a comment about 'after CA was arrested'..?? or something to that affect. Was he saying GA was the only one after she was arrested that said he smelled decomp? What does it matter when people said they smelled it? What did I miss (I get that he's trying to once again implicate that GA has a motive for claiming he smelled decomp, but what was the deal with referring to when the others stated it?!)

JB has made many mistakes already to definitely convict his client that I almost can't watch the rest of this for the rest of the afternoon. Several things have shown me that he's just as concerned about himself as ICA is of herself.

He takes jabs at JA's argument way too many times.

Had to post up a display of Rule #3 of Jury Instruction? AND then say NOT to base their verdict on EMOTION by then going into WHY they would be emotional against his client?

He insulted the intelligence of the people on the jury by telling them how to think and what to feel but actually telling them they aren't allowed to think a certain way or feel a certain way?

I saw no reference to Caley whatsoever. I heard a whole lot about everyone else though!

Do I dare go on to pick out everything?

Someone wake me up when the case has gone to the jury for deliberations please?

One thing I will say for Mr. Baez is that his use of visual re: the smell is effective. However much it's based on a "wrong" and "misleading" evidence. Those people that he left up there were near the car AFTER it had been airing out for how many hours?

Would like to delete my vote of 1.

Am going blind from reading WS 24/7 and thought this was about JA.
He was brilliant!!

I felt generous and gave him a 2. He jumped from thought to thought, was very hard to follow, made dumb insulting jokes, pretty much repeated himself over and over... which, to me, makes the jury feel like he thinks they are stupid, then he insulted LE, her father, and some of the witnesses, he mentioned the cost of one witness, which was crass, and he called his client a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and a lying 🤬🤬🤬🤬...

Oh he also told the jury they were there to find out HOW caylee died, but (moo) this isn't about HOW she died, but rather who caused it

He also made some stupid remarks about children loving their parents, and how Caylee wouldn't love ICA if she was abusive... and made some broad statements about child abuse

He had the nerve to go up there and say the prosecution is using emotion and Caylee to get to their heart strings. CAYLEE IS THE VICTIM MR. BAEZ!!!

I think he's despicable.

AND with fabreeze AND probably vacuumed AND with whatever else kind of cleaning products that CA used to try and get the odor out...

JB's biggest problem is that he's jealous to death of JA.

I fully agree. He would have done a LOT better had he allowed CM to do more. Instead it appears as if he made this his own personal challenge to see how he stood up to JA.

I voted 1. I really wanted to vote ZERO, but that wasn't an option.

Pictures are ofter more powerful than words. He successfully showed a picture to the jury in which "those who smelled nothing" vastly outnumbered those who did. Of course it is ludicrous when you THINK about it, his explanation made no sense at all, but that's not really the point. The point was the image.

Further, it was yet another opportunity for him to redefine the burder of proof the state must meet. According to him, the state must perfectly answer ALL questions, every one, including those never asked or those impossible to answer.

He is basing his defense on the cause of death. Again, it's silly, but that's really all he has. The state's job is not to answer all question and eliminate all possible theories, including theories for which no evidence has been presented, their job is to lay out a case in which a reasonable person would agree with their conclusions.

The defense is attempting to redefine this standard.

I voted 1. His absessive hatred for George is wearing thin with me. I wonder if it has with the jury. I am surprised he did not say GA molested Caylee and then killed her to hide the molestation. JMHO

I think he was doing a good job pointing out that there is no actual proof how she died. Thing is, no matter how she died the mother, her protector, didn't fill the role. Someone needs to take responsibility.

To me he lost a lot of credibility in his opening with the molestation charges. That is pretty ironic since the case revolves around chronic lying. Then I fell asleep for a while.
