I voted for yes "if" the monies are used to find her. Leftovers if any should be donated to a legitimate charity of some sort.

Either way anyone looks at it......A search, regardless if it's with a group or by yourself, it is still funded. Whether through donations, husband buying you stuff you will take with you, wife fills up the tank to get to search, etc.

Exactly............my company provided a really nice condo for us to stay for the search. Does that mean we should not have searched because we were provided a 4 bedroom condo?

They are ALL paid for one way or another.

I vote yes. IMO Mr LP is sincere in finding Caylee so she is provided w/a proper burial and he will stop at nothing till KC is convicted. He knows she is evil.

I'm not certain what LP's plans are, but it appears to me that as of now and for at least the time being, he has stopped.

According to LP, she mentioned BP 8 times. Let's count how many times she mentioned Sawgrass. If it's 9, lets move the search to there. Let's count how many times she mentioned Tony's apartment - 10? Pack up the searchers!

Just my opinion, of course, but the place Casey hasn't mentioned - that's the location of little Caylee's remains.

I personally believe someone has rolled over on KC for that reward LP offered, and that is why he is searching where he is.

Nope, because those items have not had pictures released to the media, nor have they spoken about what they found. There is no point until you know for sure.

Exactly, not only is there no point in announcing what was found, but it could harm the case. Let's say that LP really did find a charm similar to the one Casey wore around her neck and the rocks were Caylee's bones. Cindy hears that news and sends someone out to buy the exact same charm. During the trial the prosecution pulls out the found charm in an AHA moment: "This charm places you at the scene of the crime!".....then Cindy gets on the stand and shows everyone that Casey's charm is not missing.

Silly, I know, but possible.

I would have to disagree as I don't think LP would keep that information from LE. Now...could be that he did give them the information and they decided it wasn't credible so he then is following up on it...

Wouldn't LP have an obligation to share that info with LE rather than taking it upon himself to conduct an amateur search, possibly doing more harm than good?

Sarcasm on> Well since no one really knows just exactly where Caylee's body could be found I just guess then no body should bother looking. <Sarcasm off.

I tend to look at my searches as a half full glass of water. Every place that has been searched and she is not found is one more place she isn’t. but hey that’s just me.

It wouldn't matter if the bones were actually Caylee's tho.

I agree. Find out where she is not...to find out where she is.

I do not know if LE is actively searching or not, but during the press conference after the bag was discovered at JBP the officer said if LE received a credible tip they would resume searching. I interpreted that as they are not actively searching, they are sitting around waiting for a tip.

This just all seems like an ego thing to me and its really sad and petty. I do not care if TES, LP, LE, or someone walking there dog finds Caylee I just want her found. I would think because Tim has such a passion for what he does and understands what it is like to not know where you loved one is, that he would welcome anyone who was willing to go out and search, not just "members" of TES and IMO that is the message Tim is sending by putting down other groups that are searching and I am not speaking of just LPs group but other groups as well and saying only professionals should be searching.

Thank you. While I do not agree with your opinion:), that statement by LE is all I was asking for, honest! If the officer said 'they would resume searching' then they are, indeed not searching. I can now stop asking for proof, I have it. (Bet that made some of you smile!)

As the sheriff said, "Caylee's body needs to be found."
Caylee or something with her may even be important evidence.

You can't protect living children without holding those who harm them fully accountable. Finding Caylee might bring us closer to the truth of what happened.

Susan Smith's car was filmed coming out of the lake. Would it have been better if Susan S. had kept quiet? Wouldn't someone like LP searching the bottom of that lake have been a good thing if Susan S. had remained tight lipped???? Search and rescue teams did cover the area close to where Susan S.'s boys were.

Soldiers shouldn't get left behind...nor should children.

IMO

Ahhh yes he did, but wasn't he the one standing there on Thursday FUMMING..... Stating that LP has to take a LDT?

I Voted NO Why? For the fact that the LE does not find anything that LP is doing is legal.

Of course it would. Casey's charm being found with the remains removes any doubt of who put them there.
They have her remains also in the trunk with the decomp, bodily fluids, etc. This puts her in the car with the perp as being the last person to see her alive. Pretty much concludes the case, imo, without some charm being there.

I want Caylee found badly but Im sorry, the thought of someone 'filming' and 'broadcasting' the discovery of her remains and people actually watching this, just makes me want to vomit. If LP needs funds to search, fine, but filming it is just sick imo. I want her found, and I want her handled delicately, privately and respectfully by professionals. Its a sad world we live in if people actually want to point thier cameras at a child's decomposed corpse and even worse that people would be sitting at the edge of thier seats gawking for a chance to watch it unfold.

I believe that LE would consider the charm found with the remains to be valuable evidence, but that's just one example. IF LP finds something and announces it to the world like he did when he found the bag of trash, he does risk jeopardizing the case.

No. I didn't see the Sheriff doing that, but I could have missed it. Nieves, the public liason officer, said it tho.

It happens frequently on every channel on every station across America. I saw them taking injured children off a school bus today on stretchers from NY (national news). I watched today as they showed a burning house with two adults inside with no chance of being rescued (local news). Want me to continue? This was just off the top of my head and only from today! Does it make me sick because I watched it or does it make them sick for filming it?

If the choices are

A. obtain funding to cover expenses of continued search in exchange for documentary crew access

or

B. suspending search due to lack of funding

I’d go with ‘A’.

In the movie industry, the term used to justify the filming of expensive effects shots is “putting money on the screen” (as opposed to in the wallets of the talent).

Certainly if LP obtains funding to continue searching, we will either see the money on the screen in the form of equipment, personnel and labor, or we won’t.

I’ll refrain from objecting until I see what’s on the screen.
