I feel the same way about George as you, ks1.
The poor man has been left out of the family dynamics, lied to by Cindy and her murderous daughter, manipulated, and demeaned for God only knows how long. Cindy also blabbed to her family any and every mistake George ever made, and we all know how Cindy is known to lie and to embellish the facts!
I don't know the reasons for George's difficulties with employment, but I know he could do alot better just living by himself, in peace, and coming clean about this charade. Remember Leonard Padilla saying George had a melt down and him yelling that he was "tired of livng this lie"?
George seems to be a broken down and depressed soul. I fear for his mental health. I read in the latest relesed documents that he had purchased a gun the first part of September, and that troubles me to know of this. I prayfor his fragile mental state, as it is starkly evident that he is very distraught and yet how can he ever get any closure living the lie that Cindy is so adament in keeping out there!

Someone here said "George is suffering from the Stockholm Syndrome." I can't even type that without starting to laugh again.

If you ever lived with a malignant narcissist (MN), and not many have, thank goodness...but that is exactly what happens. You are a hostage....problem is you do not know it. You question yourself and begin to think you can make it better, "if only".....you could be better,you question your sanity. You believe that everything is your fault. You do everything to please them. MN's pick a certain type of people....their favorite partners are co-dependents. If you manage to get out....It takes years to get over them and most never figure out what happened and who they married..they continue to blame themselves...and you can easily get sucked right back in. MN's do not seek help..they are perfect.. therapists get to treat their victims....

I have never been able to see this situation ending well...I hope that LE still has the gun.

i also wouldn't read it if someone gave it to me. i could not even make it through the CA interview tapes.

they should use this book or Ca interviews for waterboarding. I would talk just to shut her up. This woman makes my blood boil!!

I feel this is a new CA flight of ideas. If george is in on this I give no respect. Hopefully he is just letting her ramble for therapy. About time he be the one to emionally hold up her. It still bothers me that the two people who should be most thankful for their support in the home steel not alittle but alot. Can't write a bokk until they have an end to this path there on. That will take years if they truly are the devastaed GP they want to portray.

No, absolutely not.

But, if Ann Rule were to write one about Caylee's case, I would buy hers and read it. I've always enjoyed her writing as she's careful in handling the families and friends of the victims, and is such a strong advocate for shining a light on both the work LE does, and the impact of the cases on them, also. Reading one now (Mortal Danger), and her dedication is this:

For the families and friends of violent crime victims and missing persons.

I salute you for three decades of helping others because you've been through it and you understand.

You have made a difference.

I like and respect that.

As I've been reading this one, I have been hearing Ann's writer's voice in my head, imagining how she'd present this case. I'd buy it.
