No, they do not want to "toy" with the A's. Please. These are professionals doing their job. When they officially announce the identification as Caylee, there will be no doubt whatsoever that the remains are Caylee. Obviously, there was enough at the site, without forensics, for Yuri and John to call the A's home from CA. and to advise Baez on the find. However, only a fool would announce the identity unless it was an absolute fact. OCSO and the FBI are anything but foolish.

Of course, it could always be another 3 year old little girl who has not yet been reported missing because she doesn't have a Granny to miss her when she is gone. . .
wrapped in linens from the A home.

Now, this is public property isn't it? Once LE releases it, anyone can go there to snoop around and whatever. How will Baez keep the public from going on public land? The first people through the yellow tape will be busloads of media running for a "first".
On your marks, get set, GO! Will Baez have to send out his best runner to get there and stake a claim? Just making light here.

This find has certainly thrown a huge monkey wrench into the engine of the KC train. So close to home all this time while everyone was pointing to NY, NC, TX, TN, CA and PR. KFN evaporated amidst rumors of charges being filed against the As. The spokesperson actually stated "I am not washing my hands of them." I think she mis-spoke and the career path for the whole fam damily left town with her.

The Scheme Team are so unlikeable, I hope this is on cable, live. Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered.

I am SO wondering who you are............you "know sum stuff"........it seems to me........

bravo
I am sure the ME is qualified to do his job. it's just more smoke screen.
Biaz would be better off to not view the disrespectful way that tiny body was disposed of. It may make it unbearable to hug Casey as he swishes her in public. I hope he gets to view it all, I hope it makes him ill. I hope there is enough evidence to leave no doubt in anyone mind.
LE ,is waiting till all the evidence comes back so they can move on additional charges or reintroduce the death penalty. IMO

Baez will see it all. That is part of being a defense attorney. I do not think he is ready for it though.

nursebeeme, lol! Toilet paper scrolls. So now we present the Toilet Paper defense, hahaha!

I voted 1. They know, everything just has to follow proper protocol.

I'm losing my mind, what little was left of it. From the title "your thoughts on the id" I thought someone was getting all philosophical and psychological, delving into our subconscious for the id, the ego and the super ego. Calling Dr Freud, I give up!!

You are not loosing it, I thought the same thing!:bang:

The prosecutor in OC court yesterday made a verbal boo-boo-- I wonder if anyone else caught it- when talking about the 2nd autopsy- she said "the skull of this little girl"- not the skull of A little girl... that indicates they have a +ID but are holding back.

If this is the case, then Tim started the rumor. I heard him say so in a lengthy interview. He also said they had grown quite close and they hugged, sharing their sorrow. He said he say where the bag lay, the dented ground and lack of plant life growing in that spot.

(my bold)
I totally agree - I saw and heard him say the same thing.

IIRC, he even said something like he'd been out there the entire day. This was the day the body was found.

LE is making a big mistake when they say he wasn't there, b/c all defense will have to do is get this clip and say that LE lied.

I think LE would be better off saying that yes, he was there, but it was before the area had been sealed.

:crazy: But we need more thoughts on the Id.

As well as the ID. :)

And the Id-Iots, also too.

DNA identity verification may be more difficult in this case because:
  1. There is not a DNA sample of Caylee's father available
  2. There is no definitive original sample of Caylee's DNA to test against (remember the hairbrush shenanigans?)
Any DNA experts out there that can confirm or deny this possibility?

lol and lol some more. Thoughts on the super ego? It actually took me a moment to figure that one out this morning :waitasec::crazy::clap:

I think they probably have a positive Id by now, but would like to have the crime scene cleared before they release it. I also think they kind of get a kick out of seeing JB acting like an impatient Foo. Oh wait thats me.

I don't believe Tim ever said he went into the tented areas. While it's only my guess, I think he was showed the area, but not taken directly to the actual spot where the remains were found.

My guess is since TES searched the area before, they might have wanted his opinion on whether that specific spot had been available for searching at that time or if it was underwater. This would provide some insight into how long the body was in the location and whether it was a recent plant, as I'm sure the defense team will consider that as a avenue to follow. I personally don't see why, since he was a major player in the search efforts, that he wouldn't have been asked to give an opinion on the site. That doesn't mean he was right up on the discovery. He could have been able to view the area from quite a distance and still make a determination. JMO.

id is caylee; they are holding id until crime scene cleared

I'd also like to add, they have a tentative ID, they are also waiting for a definitive ID from tests being done. I also feel they are not going to make it public knowledge until they are finished at the crime scene in the woods. Once they make that announcement, the defense must be let in.

Hi Macushla. I have to ask, would you want your guilt presumed before ALL the FACTS are in and to feel you have no choice but to make a plea to something regardless of whether you did it or not out of fear you will be punished worse if you don't? I know more than one person that was completely innocent but felt they had no choice. You wouldn't want to be in that position, I'm sure.

As for Tim M. you said,
I have heard both versions and we won't know the answer until we see video or a photo, if there is any. One of the things LE has to try and find out is when that bag was placed there. Tim Miller was someone who saw that area at various times and can give LE info on when it was flooded, how deep was the flooding, was THIS particular area flooded and did TES search this particular area for a certain period of time. So in a way, Tim is an eye witness - not of the crime, but of the crime scene and how it may have looked at various times. That is why I think Tim was allowed behind the 'tape', he was the best person to help them determine what was going on in that area in regards to water, etc.

What reason do you have to presume I am making this up, lying? What have I done to be presumed guilty? If I make a statement as fact, I know it is. If I say I think, I believe, IMO, it looks to me, or any other similar prefix, then I am open to changing my mind because I don't have all the facts yet. For example, my opinions on the ID times is my opinion, based on my particular type of knowledge, but still opinion. What I saw for the 18th might be something different, such as the investigation taking a new direction that it has in the past, as an alternative.

Here is the link. http://www.myfoxorlando.com/myfox/MyFox/pages/sidebar_video.jsp?contentId=8075244&version=1&locale=EN-US The first question is why did LE give him access to the site. Next, where did he go, what did he see. He describes seeing the indentation under the palmetto bush and dead “grass” toward the end. He'd have to be fairly close to see that kind of detail. He said the same on the Geraldo show.

Now, I suppose Tim could be making this up to get media coverage or to get at LP, but I hope not and doubt that. How could the defense team coming in there, taking photos before it was tore up, etc, interfere with the investigation any more than taking Tim in there? Neither interferes, IMO. The motivation might be to make a lot of money on their own photos. Close to $1000 for the last discovery package? Unbelievable. They should have a right to all of it without charge. It costs very little, especially with digital format. She has a constitutional right to that information but I heard the prosecutor in court yesterday say, it will be up to their discretion what photos they allow defense to see. I don't understand that at all. Maybe I'm missing something.

Nancy, I apologize where I misunderstood. I agree with most of what you said. I think you are misunderstanding what I said about the woman sifting soil, though. I certainly wasn't judging her qualifications. I have no way of knowing that. I was judging what I saw. Anyone can get sidetracked, some more than others. My point was, she is no more qualified than the defense team anthropologist. And, her motivation might[/bold] very well be prejudiced, like many posting on this sight.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pizg4Ev7rQ&NR=1 Geraldo segment IMO points out contradictions in police behavior.

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/florida/orl-bk-caylee-anthony-121208,0,91021.story This video, the sherriff claims the area was under water the whole time. This can't be true, according the the weather history.

http://www.abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=6464439&page=1 entomologist says that insect evidence changes and is destroyed with each passing moment and through scientific examination. All should be able to look at it at the same time.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl1u7G8DRos&feature=related Geraldo 12/14/08 part 1, one of the videos of the soil sifting and sorting. There was another I saw with the same women but I've spent too much time today going through everything I've looked at in the last several days, and haven't found it yet.

Spangle, are you positive no LE would have motive to want the evidence to support their view or might not overlook something that doesn't fit their preconceived notion or not follow up on something for the same reason? I've read too many stories to believe this isn't possible. I've seen a document from a state forensic lab with a cut and paste shadow line photocopied and used in court. This shadow divided the stated evidence/test result from the ID of the person charged. So I know it is possible to have corruption within the system. Prison industries is big business and provides a lot of jobs. I read recently they want to build a number of new prisons there. And, I highly doubt there isn't at least one official in Florida that will lie. It seems to me one of their own was recently fired and is connected to this suspect.

Yes, someone is guilty of this horrible thing. But, for my own conscience, if I were on the jury, I would want to know that both sides had an even shot at all the evidence. The prosecutor has already said in the last hearing it will be up to their discretion what photos they hand over. The defense, if they stick with Casey as their suspect, needs everything if they are going to do the best job possible.

i voted for the first one, i believe they knew probably sat or sun that it was caylee...
jmo

I forgot to tell you what I think lol (not that anyone gives a rats you~know~what lol).. but I think they knew over the weekend. I think they are holding it until the crime scene is clear.... esp in light of the way that Baez has been filing motions (like they are endless sheets on a scott roll of toilet paper)

I agree. I hadn't thought about your reasoning why on the hold off until you posted. OMG ROTFL about your toilet paper analogy, love it!
