Interestingly the footage published by The Daily Mail was not official police footage according to The Age.

Superintendent Troy Papworth confirmed they were aware of some footage that has been releases, He says it was not police footage & he will have more to say about that later today.

The Age has confirmed the footage is legitimate and not police vision.

Interesting, the Daily Mail reported it as:

"What followed was a fraught confrontation that was captured from multiple angles on mobile phones and a police body camera."

Perhaps someone else who lived on the property took a video?

New Zealand police issue a warning about sovereign citizen Dezi Freeman -just days after capturing their own fugitive who had been on the run for four years

His eldest son, Koah, last week told The Australian his father had the skills to survive in the bush for an extended time.

'I'm not sure if you have ever seen the movie Rambo, especially the first Rambo movie, it's like that but 10 times capacity,' he said.

'The Mount Buffalo National Park is his second home. He's been there since he was 16 just going hiking in places no man has ever stepped foot in.

'At this stage, I think he's probably deceased. I haven't got any explanation for that, but at this stage, to have no trace, it's a bit unbelievable.'

However, Koah on Monday admitted his father could already be dead.

He was trying now to get back to some form of 'good' normality in the wake of the horror and move on with his life while the search continues.

'I'm still in the heat of it. I've just accepted the worst, that's it,' Koah told Daily Mail.

'I'm doing regular s***, going back to work and stuff to take my mind off it.'

Video screenshots reveal moments before two police officers allegedly killed by Dezi Freeman

Video screenshots have emerged of the moments before the officers were allegedly killed by Dezi Freeman.

In that video, Freeman refuses to open the bus door as officers explained they had a warrant.

“Leave us alone, leave us alone,” Freeman shouted in the video, according to the Daily Mail.

The screenshots are taken from a video which 7NEWS understands goes for more than 20 minutes and shows officers, including Thompson, try to reason with Freeman.

Seems someone is shopping around selling the video IMO

Image from Stunning revelation from woman who heard Dezi Freeman 'ambush'

Do old buses like these usually only have the one door? I have tried looking it up, I am sure it is a Hino Rainbow maybe late 80's model

Still wondering how he managed to escape out in the open unharmed.
I imagine , once he had shot the 3 police , all the others took cover, but there were police shot/s ( from previous police presser )

I think there is only one door.

Maybe the son?
Possibly, I thought they had said he was there (the younger son).

Also, my brain is just catching up - from the DM: "captured from multiple angles on mobile phones and a police body camera"

So more than one person recording on phones, and possibly a police body cam (not sure how they would have access to that, unless it's a mistake).

I feel for the families having these images posted. Doesn't seem right to me.

Or one person moving around??

Multiple body worn cameras?

You can see at least 1 body worn camera activated here with the red light

So someone else was there and witnessed it all?? I assume the video was being taken to be used against the police later, obviously the person filming did not think Dez was about to kill them

At least this can put to rest all those people out there saying "where's the body cam footage, I bet they shot him first, why weren't they wearing body cams, blah blah blah blah"

Hopefully we'll find out more from the police today.

I suspect it was the 15yr old son IMO

This article states that the recording cuts shortly after the shots are fired & that it remains unclear at what point the 3rd officer was shot

Yes, I agree they would have been terrified at that point after watching 2 officers be shot dead and focused on saving their own lives - which would be what they are trained to do in a situation like that. Unless they had a clear shot at him from where they were taking cover, they wouldn't have tried anything else. IMO

I am thinking he shot the other officer in the leg on his way out maybe as I know that officer hid under the bus until help arrived. Or maybe he just shot out the door of the bus and got him/her in the leg.

It is so sad and I honestly believe that we are lucky that there weren't more police officers shot dead that day. There were a number of them in close proximity to that bus we now know at the time the others were shot.
