Does the militant sovereign citizen movement in Australia strong enough to have members willing to shelter a double murderer?
The US movement is, but such a murderer would likely need to have pre existing ties to a sovereign citizen network and also have committed the murders for what others in the movement would view as a "justifiable" reason.
If the Australian sovereign movement has deep enough roots, he may think he can hide out. If not, I am thinking he is going to use his home made weapons on himself. I don't think he has the courage to go down in a blaze of "glory".
even the military in AU is not exactly militant, it keeps to itself and regards itself as more a watching brief than a combat outfit. More money is spent on shared Int. and combined exercises than is spent on actual warfare. AU military geeks tend to go for the diplomacy until ....... how ever , AU is still a member of the UN, of ASEAN of ANZAC of AUKUS, of this and that associated treaty obligation.
Militant has a different meaning here.
These groups are not exactly working in concert with each other, they have disparate views that cannot be consolidated, generally speaking. They like to think they have a handle on militant, though. However. most are a practical people and would see no value in assisting Dez.. Dez has shot his own bolt, and nothing can save him from the maw of justice, even a Sov Cit would see that plainly.
Individually, he could have one or two deeply committed followers, but when it's all boiled down to gravy, Dez has nothing to offer a follower, neither glory, nor respect, he never did have either and has even less now. But as a movement protecting Dez it would be all flags waving in social media, and all doors locked at home and no-going-outies..
The only thing going for and against a Dezzy corporal is that ephemeral million dollar reward.. hard to claim it anonymously though.. VICPOL would insist on your pic and address being published.
I don't think he has resilience, either. He probably has tripped over his own shoelaces and gone over a cliff off Mt Buffalo.
