Porter was such a true legend of country music. I saw a show recently on CMT of he and Dolly at the Opry. He looked so fragile there, but he and Dolly put on a show, nonetheless. I read somewhere that his latest album, "Wagonmaster", was more popular to date than anything else he had ever done. And touring with the White Stripes? Just wow.

He will be missed.

My grandmother used to rock me to sleep singing "Just a rose will do."
Tears come to my eyes now when I think of it. She died when I was 12 from brain cancer.
Many prayers for Porter and his family.

May he rest in peace.

Oh that's so sad. I was fortunate to get to meet him at the Opry once while I lived in Nashvegas. He was a very nice person and a true legend.

I used to complain so much as a kid years ago when we had only one TV and my stepfather just had to watch the Porter Wagner show every week, but he seemed like a nice man.

He was truly a legend in the country music world. I remember watching his show.
