First WS Post Was looking at some missing children cases and found that someone has actually been convicted of the abduction of Rui Pedro. Got three and a half years whilst the family continue to live their life sentence of thinking of what has happened. Can't think of anything more horrific than being asked to look at child to indentify if its your own missing child being abused.

It just kills me to think these poor kids are kept as slaves by these monsters. I would almost rather hear they were found dead and buried. :rose:

A little update on this case,
"Afonso Dias, considered from the beginning the prime suspect, turned himself in Guimarães chain(jail) last month. He was sentenced to a term of three years in prison for kidnapping."

I just may add that JMHO after researching Rui Pedro's pictures and seeing the ones related with a pedophile ring plus the Disney video, I really think it's Rui there. Just too sad. I wish I could erase that picture out of my mind!

Rui Pedro was abducted by Alfonso Diaz and sold to a CP ring. Alfonso was charged with only corruption of a minor for brining Rui to visit a prostitute , the Portuguese state failed Rui Pedro's family terribly on this case. They showed complete indifference with the investigation. The Disneyland picture is definitely Rui as confirmed by his mother , father and international experts yet the Portuguese police dismissed the picture as a likeness. They should have tracked the man seen pictured with Rui using the communication and technology available for the past 20 years , his photo should have been distributed widely on social media someone would recognise this man and give this investigation new life.

I just found out about this case through YouTube and it’s upset me!

Though I really don’t follow her case I’m glad the Netflix documentary on Madeline McCann mention him.

This poor kid was likely kidnapped and sex trafficked! So awful!

I’m glad I’ve learned about this case and I guess one good thing about the internet and the true crime community is that international cases like this are now being covered in the western world. It’s just sad that it took so long for this case to reach the west.
