I always wondered why SG would pay MP to drive her when (what's his name...the guy that broke her jaw) was her original driver. Why would they pay another person to drive? Unless there was some kind of debt to be paid off or some type of intimidation or maybe (what's his name) didn't have a vehicle or license at the time?

I'm curious about MP's role as driver too. I'm sure that SG wasn't the only escort that he drove on calls! I got the impression from his interviews that he's shady AF and no stranger to the game!

IMO It's not too far fetched to think that MP may have been part of that group or another just like it.

Trust and believe that it's not the only service of it's kind in NY! I only say that because I subscribe to the "Original thought" theory...

Thank you for that link. I never realized that MP and AD were so quick to write off the discovery of SG's remains as "mystery solved" and providing "closure" and a "relief".

I'm just catching up on the recent developments with CLB. I was reading through the news of possible interest thread and a post by TF caught my eye, so I brought it over to the cab thread! Here is the link with a quote that was posted. Thank TF!

She was visibly upset when she jumped in the cab. IMO this made her more vulnerable.

A perfect victim to have jump in your cab if you're a killer cab driver! J/S

I wonder if they tracked the driver. Probably not, if they don't know where she went after getting in the cab.

Are there cabs in that area that can just be hailed or, would you have to call ahead for one?

Cabs can be hailed almost anywhere in NYC and east new york is quite populated. It is alot harder to catch a cab in brooklyn especially at night but I dont know about east new york

spooky indeed--but i would think a killer cabbie would be more likely to do that at night, less people paying attention to comings/goings--certainly worth hanging on to for thought though--even if un-LISK related, maybe something went horribly wrong with the interaction between driver/patron, like a spurned sexual advance that wasn't taken very well by someone unstable..?

If you are saying that this "road" that the person posted a picture of on Websleuths - stating that you can exit Oak Beach on a back road is wrong - than this person was posting MISINFORMATION.

Why would anyone do that on WS? In THIS case?
They went to a lot of trouble by posting a picture with a darkened line to show the car's route.. to exit Oak Beach via a back route.

The only way to actually come to reality with a back road or not - is to have this picture presented at Hackett's trial this fall. Then it will be discussed and on the record as fact.

I gave this picture to John Ray, Esq. a long time ago - so it will be interesting if it gets addressed in court.

MCME is correct. No road leading out of OB at the end of Hawser. A week ago an employee of a resident on that road called for a regularly scheduled ride to the train. The road has no outlet, dead ends with a home on either side. The only way would be as MCME described, on foot & possibly not with ease considering the terrain.
