The idea that RH has an MO that is specific to the first 4 Gilgo victims has been obliterated.

he has an almost victim that he took to a townhouse somewhere.
he has the girl on her bike whom he terrified in a public park
he now has dismembered victims that are tied to him
he has talked of hunting victims and shown that he would attempt that lingering at the park.
all of his victims have been found in that area or similar areas up the coast.

I think he has all kinds of games he likes to play and we need that DNA to go through CODIS.

imagine the fun he could have chasing out there at night with night vision goggles.

Yes, that girl in Philly townhouse gives me additional pause. If all the instances you state are true - I mean I know where you get them from and so on but they are not yet verified. As far as I know. But if they are true - well, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

I think the compulsive pervs have a reason to connect. There were smartphones in 2010.

We have no clue what happened at JBs but SG was petrified. RH will do that to you even before he starts purposefully scaring people.

PH makes no sense to me at all, but I agree he has some interesting properties in common with RH. Being smart and being very strange for starters.

I think I understand RH’s endgame. PH - not so much.

I am so glad to return to this thread and see that Shannan's murder is still being discussed.

My main takeaway from the 911 tape was that Shannan was terrified of leaving Brewers house. It seems to me that Brewer was trying to get her to leave, and then needed Pak's help. Shannan was dodging them as non-confrontationally as possible, although she did verbalize her realization that Pak was participating in putting her in danger and set her up. I think Shannan expected to be overpowered steps outside Brewers door, and eventually concluded that she could also be cornered in his house. So she attempted to escape the house running. She got pretty far.

It really is not far-fetched at all that RH and a number of people at Gilgo Beach knew each other and partied together. I haven't seen evidence that RH is connected with Shannan's murder, but it is a viable theory. We only know what phone numbers RH interacted with if investigators released them. It would not surprise me if there is a connection; there is no reason for LE to give us that information until it supports an indictment.

I think we can go down the wrong path, if we try to link RH with Shannan's death. The circumstance of Shannan's demise does not have a lot in common with RH's usual MO.

What especially irks me about this case, is the fact that even though there were many crimes committed, (prostitution, drugs, abduction to just name a few), not one charge was laid in connection with that night.

I believe if nothing else there should be an enquiry or independent judicial review of the incident.

Who in Suffolk County could initiate such a review? How about an elected official?

IMO, You are very right that someone in power has to be interested in learning more if we are to learn more.

I couldn't agree with you more that it is in everyone's face that illegal stuff happened that night with no investigation or even curiosity peaked, let alone consequences.

I see Rex as rather flexible with MO. His controlling and cruel personality shine through always, but he doesn't not seem ritualistic. LE released proof of his evolving, flexible methods. I don't see any reason to assert with confidence he was not involved or aware of the crimes during or after the fact. I think it is a reasonable theory to test, that he was involved.

IMO, the lack of vigor to solve RH crimes, crimes against Shannan, and other trafficking and murder crimes by possible additional perpetrators are at least loosely related in who they protect. I feel like there is more than just a rape culture going on on Long Island. So at least tangentially, the crimes are related.

I feel we started out with the Gilgo 4 all wrapped up in their burlap all intact in their little area, but then the lines got blurred and we start branching out to dismemberments and other disposal methods...so now we are expanding the potential of many other victims and no tight MO, no promise of sameness or pattern. So now nothing is off the table as far as I am concerned.

I am obsessed with having something come up with SC because I think only the threat of the DP will
get a full confession from Rex. mOO

His MO is a hybrid MO. There’s still a pattern. Just more complex. By design.

I feel like his disposal methods are based on a growing lack of fear and inhibition. he no longer fears being caught. he may have enjoyed the horror experienced by the discoveries of his dismembered victims...but at the same time he didn't get caught so he decided to try the Ted Bundy and Green River Gary method so he could enjoy going back and visiting his decaying victims
and creating something lasting for himself. Also the mess..he may not have enjoyed the dismemberment/disposal part as much as the torture part, since he liked to keep his victims breathing as long as possible.

it's very distressing that Peaches's baby was found very close to one of Rex's other victims.

well they didn't know about Rex when they were investigating Shannan. I am totally convinced that she was murdered and I'm not changing my mind. I feel they should continue searching and see if they can find a link. mOO

I am 100% in agreement with the belief Shannan was murdered. At this point I do not see any evidence regarding the involvement of RH or JB. New information could come later though.

The amazing thing to me is there was a lot of criminal activity that night (drugs, pimping, forcible confinement) by a number of people. Yet law enforcement did not charge one person.

it was a bad scene and that's why I can't make a coincidence out of an additional sex and drug pervert having a virtual garden of dead sex workers yards from where poor Shannan was last seen and died for unknown reasons. mOO
