Can the breakfast room where the pineapple was found be seen from the street outside? I've looked and looked at the house layout and really can't tell. If the lights were on in the breakfast room and off in the dining room - could someone outside see in?
If Jon Benet woke up because she wet the bed (fell asleep in car and just put to bed) she could have changed herself and snuck downstairs. Found Burke's pineapple and started eating it. Someone walking by with ill intentions could have seen her up alone and broke in or just walked in through an unlocked dining room door. Grabbed her and took her down to the basement. Or even struck her on the head then took her to the basement.
I know it doesn't explain the random note. But us it even possible to see into that room from outside?
