Post Conviction Brief

That's true about Dawn.

But who testified to AT's procedures with the descriptions?

It's been awhile since I have looked at the trial testimony... so I'm going to go with ... no one LOL point made ;-)

‘MAKING A MURDERER’ DEFENSE INVESTIGATOR: SOMEONE KNOWN TO STEVEN AVERY’S DOG PLANTED TERESA HALBACH’S BONES

http://www.**************/4458837/making-a-murderer-defense-investigator-someone-known-to-steven-averys-dog-planted-teresa-halbachs-bones/

[FONT=&quot]“Steven Avery had a pet dog,” he said. “His name was Bear. He was a German Shepherd that nobody was going to fool with. Bear was chained next to that burn pit. He was your typical junkyard dog. Because that’s what it was — a junkyard — where he was living. Nobody not known to Bear was going to get in that area.”

I agree with that except Bear was on a chain. So I'd need to know three things. One, could his chain allow him to get into the burn pit to defend it? Two, if it happened while Steven was gone on an errand, did the other family members happen to hear Bear barking? Three, was Bear there the whole time, even when the family wasn't allowed back into the property? Because the bones could have been planted after Bear had been removed.

I still want to know where Bear was during this "ten feet tall" fire anyways. Does she address this? Because if he'd been in the garage, wouldn't they have found dog hair? Same for if he'd been in the house. I almost want to try to contact Steven and ask him this question myself. I sent Zellner the question days ago. Hopefully, she will address it.

wasnt_me... somewhere in all these 1000's of pages, I recall reading that Bear was sometimes in the trailer, I usually have a good memory, but at the moment I can't think of where that info came from! I know there was a discussion somewhere on here about the carpet cleaner and I believe it was during that discussion that it came up, but I can't even remember which thread that is in LOL If I find it, I will be sure to post it!

well... what the heck! So he calls AT, they give him TH's phone number and he calls her? But his number still doesn't show up on the AT&T records. Weird!

...and doesn't that explain why he had her phone number written down in that little notebook??

No... that post was about Steve#3.... the one written on the bottom of her day planner.

ETA: nevermind... i had to go further back, I think I was talking about SA, I'm not sure though lol

I think you are talking about Steve the third, because we were talking him calling TH at 1243pm.

Steven Avery did have her cell on a hand-sized notebook along with a mysterious note about the back patio door, which could be unrelated. Steven also had her number written really big on that for sale sign with the address of another house on it. I still don't understand what that is all about.

As far as Steve the Third showing up on the call records, I do believe it was just on Cingular. Oh, and AT's 800 number, right?

new article out today:

http://www.**************/4472735/kathleen-zellner-new-evidence-uncovered-in-steven-avery-case/

some quotes:

Zellner told the Inquisitr that new witnesses have come forward, leading to”significant discoveries” since she filed a 1,200-page petition for post-conviction relief on June 7. She did not name the individuals but said they were hesitant to tell the truth during the initial investigation. Details about new direct evidence have also not been released, but will be included in an amended motion.

And while considerable attention was cast on Zellner’s accusations of misconduct by the state under Brady v. Maryland, the lawyer is now swinging for the fences. She’s not just after a new trial based on isolated violations. She plans to prove Avery’s innocence.

There will be more forensic testing, too, she said, findings that will supplement the results and expert testimony she included in the June brief.

“We have informed the Wisconsin Attorney General of our intent to amend the petition with this new information,” Zellner said.

ETA: oops guess that link won't work, the article should be easy to find though.

Ferak said he was going to speak to Zellner this week... has there been an article out yet about it? I haven't come across one yet.

This is exciting.

I see an Inquistor article after I googled part of your link (because link didn't work for me.) What I find interesting is the article I'm reading says:

Hillegas was never considered a suspect. He and Scott Bloedorn, Halbach’s roommate with whom she had a sexual relationship, were questioned, but not asked for alibis. Zellner claims Halbach was not killed anywhere near Avery’s Auto Salvage, but clubbed to death–not shot– likely at her home in Hilbert, Wisconsin, about 30 miles away. Zellner says her latest findings back that up, while those who believe in Avery’s innocence have pointed to a number other findings, including Halbach’s cellphone records and surrounding tower data from October 31, 2005.

Wow, that sounds interesting about new witnesses coming forward.

Underlined by me.

This part really stands out to me. I am very curious given the state of the cremains how cause of death could be determined.

My guess would be that this information might be something new witnesses could have indicated from their observations.

Well they do have the skull fragments, which the State's witnesses said were gun shots, JMO but her experts have probably said that a blunt object could have created those holes/marks, like a lug wrench. Which would also go with the blood spatter on the back door of her RAV4. And, hopefully, like you said, witnesses that are now coming forward.

Who do you guys think is coming forward? My guesses.... Scott B for one. Maybe the friends that were supposed to be with Ryan H. on the Friday night? (either saying they were with him, or they weren't). Maybe someone with LE?

I also wonder if she has been able to do some more testing? I'm not sure if we would know about it or not.

BBM, KZ says new "witnesses" so that means more than one person has come forward with information. Wonder if a couple of people might have witnessed the murder of TH?

Yes, it appears that the blood spatter on the door was from a blow - most likely to the head (if I understood the expert testimony correctly.).

Yes, that is what KZ's blood spatter expert determined.

They said there were metal fragments in the skull. If that is her skull, maybe the fragments would support a tire tool.

What if the witnesses are someone in LE? Testifying to some shadiness in the investigation?

I've always suspected Teresa might have went home & was confronted THERE.
I'm wondering what all SB knows[emoji6]
I think quite a bit.
I think he ( along with a few others ) held back quite a bit.

BBM, Yeah depending on who did the testing? All we know at this point is that the testing KZ's investigation has done on the bullet is that it never went though a human skull. So there is that.
