If bishops have the power to keep people from the Celestial Kingdom, why is repentance after death allowed? Wouldn't every person who was denied the Celestial Kingdom by a bishop just need to wait until death to get there? A little confusing.

I didn't mean that JA had any power over Travis' soul--I meant that the last thing that Travis did on earth was have sex with Jodi--he was struggling with that issue, and he wanted to find a woman to marry. Being murdered and left naked with photographic evidence of the last sexual encounter is debasing and degrading--and that is what Jodi meant to do.

JMO....NO ONE can deny your entry into heaven but God alone. JA will find that out soon enough.

Or NOT, but we will never know, will we.....JMO

That's my belief, too. JA is going to find out that God will not be mocked--and her "conversion" to Mormonism was an insult to all involved. JMO

The call + the extended transcript! Perfect. Thank you so much.

Looks like Jodi's book club is shaping up to be as big of a bust as her t-shirt.

I haven't seen any changes to the web page in at least three weeks and she is reading at a snails pace in comparison to the supposed 43 books that she read in 2012. I can only see three books read or in the process of reading since June. If she keeps that up, she could might make it to an even dozen this year.

Way to go, CMJA. Snark, snark.

<mod snip>

It was CMJA who claimed that Travis gave her the Book of Mormon and challenged her to read it. As we know by now, every word that comes out of her mouth is suspect.

Darryl Brewer testified very clearly that she had become interested in the Mormon church well before meeting Travis, with missionaries coming to their home in Palm Desert no later than August 2006.

No one else was brought forth to further refute her story.

I have the same thing written in my notes of his testimony, she met Travis after her introduction to Mormonism.

I am not being argumentative, but I just posted a podcast with Elder Jensen (he taught JA the restored gospel of Jesus Christ) he claimed that TA gave JA a copy of the Book of Mormon. Big Sur? Do you mean Palm Desert?

I think she and Darryl lived in Palm Desert when all that went down....they had bought a house together. Whoever introduced her initially to Mormonism, I've never figured out. Must have been someone she met at work? Anyway, yeah, Travis did give her the Book, but I think she already had her sights set on finding a "good Mormon". I don't know which came first, Mormonism interest or PPL but she was making a new life plan.. JMO JMO

Mea culpa. I went back and corrected it.

Elder Jensen was only repeating what he had been told. Based on what Darryl said, CMJA most likely received a Book of Mormons before Travis ever gave her one, if in fact he did so.

I don't think you're being argumentative; it does get confusing trying to work out conflicting information and come to a logical conclusion.

Well, I'm sure the killer has a pretty busy schedule and doesn't have much time. You know, recycling the Styrofoam containers, teaching Spanish, growing her hair and helping abused women. :jail:

LMAO.

It's just for show. So she can claim in her next allocution/student body president campaign speech that she stuck to all her previous mitigation promises, even though she'd never done any of this before. I guess it's easier to pretend you're a good, intelligent person from behind a prison cell so no one can see your true colors.

Posted on the State versus JA facebook page:

"Monica Lindstrom: From everything I have heard JA might end up
in a plea agreement due to time, costs and other considerations"

I seriously doubt that JA will ever take a plea that does not involve some unrealistic, impossibly lenient penalty.

Let's try to stay off the topic of religion that is a discussion about religion only which is against TOS. And remember:

1. Pretty much everything JA has said is a lie; and
2. Pretty much everything JA has said is a lie.

I never could find her FB page..........

Anybody make any headway in supposition of why she told Ryan she would be there when she knew she couldn't have been there within a few hours of that time? It does seem odd that she would throw a red flag up before the covert activities really began, there had to have been a logical reason for doing so to her, but what?

I think it took a lot longer to seduce him then she thought it would and even longer before he would shower.

Thanks Frigga, I still have such doubt about her being inside the house early in the day. She didn't know anything about Travis putting together the floor cleaner, only saw the furniture off the tile, that is such a red flag to me. But it benefits both sides to say she was there so I don't expect to hear anything different in the retrial, but I have big doubts.

Oh, and for a girl who thinks of herself as such an intellectual because of all her book reading, you would think that, as a result, her writing skills would've become alot more polished. Those journals of hers read like a grade eight girl's daily preoccupations. So immature and simplistic. <modsnip>

We really don't know how events transpired that last day. When you take into consideration that the roommate, Zach, was home between 3 and 4, it really clouds things even more.

We do know that Travis was watching Youtube videos around 4 am. We also know that he sent a text message around 12:13 pm, which conflicts with CMJA's story that they awoke around 1 and had sex. There are time stamped photos of a sexual encounter as well as the shower photos and those of a mortally wounded Travis Alexander. A forensic specialist testified that there was a logon attempt on Travis's computer at 4:54. It was not stated whether or not this logon attempt was successful, which I found to be curious. Lastly, Enrique stated that he came home that night somewhere between 6 and 6:30.
