I wonder if some of the sex pics weren't part of her premeditation especially the one with her in pigtails. It conveniently tied in with the 12 year old little girl crap. One fact, still remains she had the gun hidden somewhere during that time with the intent of shooting him. I think she probably made sure there was a knife included in their sex play. Having a rope involved in their sexapades made sure she would have it handy.
I have also thought of TA calling her a could she have thought in her twisted mind. "Well, you think I am a I will show u how much of a I can be." I think of poor Travis and how she de-edified him on the last day of his life. Their last day on earth together and she uses it to let him know the power she had over him in more ways than one. The power to take his life was her greatest power over him in the end, though. So very sad. :twocents::twocents::twocents:

I think you might be onto something with the photos being a part of her plan. It would have been convenient to learn from TA that he got the new camera and he was excited about it, and since she was a photographer it would have been convenient for her to use that information to her benefit, no doubt. That could have been part of the discussion on the phone previous to her arrival at TA's house. In fact, she would have fantasized about how she would flatter him into allowing her to take the photos in the shower - it was the perfect ploy to set him up for the killing. That shower stall was the perfect place to render TA vulnerable enough to attack him. I think the new camera was definitely part of premeditation.

This crime most definately was a premeditated murder. And JA thought she'd planned it out very well.The extra gas in those gas cans, rental cars which she rented 100 miles away from home, Grandpa's stolen gun, upside down license plates, hair color change, her cell phone cut off while in Arizona, and having Travis confined to small quarters, in the shower. There's many more, these are just what I can quickly come up with! She didn't want any other woman near Travis if she couldn't have him, plain and simple. Premeditated all the way! Without a doubt the state showed premeditation. To follow up on the pics I think JA wanted them (the pics) to show that she truly was abused even though she was a willing participant. It is ironic, karma whatever you want to call it that the camera had the greatest evidence to prove she did the killing.

For me, premeditation was shown when I saw the horrible picture of his back. With his back to her, I'm assuming (because of her fog, I can't state for sure) he was standing by the sink. She had plenty of time to escape, if she was afraid for her life. While I believe it was always her intention to kill him that day, I believe that she, in that moment, had time to think, make a decision, and pull back before the 2nd stab to the back.

Great idea about a reason to remove the gun from the crime scene, suzyq211. I too believe this was premediated. There are so many things that add up for the purpose of her trip, your suggestion of the gun's removal goes to the top of the list. Nice sleuthing.

I also find suspect the secretly recorded sex tape. I think she set him up. I think she had planned on using this against him. For instance, she could have thought she would record him and then threaten to go to the Bishop or let his future girlfriend hear him... Something she could hold over his head.

Another thing that bothered me was how she was able to sneak into his house and go undetected by Napoleon. We know how keen a dogs hearing is so imagine how incredibly creepy she is that she can sneak into a house without alerting a dog.

I saw an interview on I think it was Dr Drew last week with one of Travis's previous roommates and he explained how Travis told him he once found Jodi hiding in his closet. That to me is very sick.

Your are right on Debbie. Her sneaking into his place and hiding to greet him later is down right spooky. Who does this? When we were teens, we might drive up and down the street where a guy lives but JA's actions were diabolical. She wanted him and wanted him to want her. There is no end to what she could have been planning. She didn't want anyone else to be with him as I see it.

I agree! The sex tape was definitely a set up ~ There's a few times that she says "what was that?" making him repeat things he said just to make sure she got it on tape... You can bet she brought that tape with her on June 4th. Poor guy. So sad.

Something is not right with the sex pictures that day too... I don't think they had sex that day. I think she took the pictures of her 'ugly butt' with his camera without him knowing to use them against him too. I'm still thinking about that?? Anyone think this too? I hope there's more said about those pictures that day.

100% agree - the first stab to the chest didn't work out in regards to killing him. Once that realization hit her - she realized and decided with free will to stab the man in the back and to slit his throat. The only thing she was defending at the time of that decision was her freedom.

I'm not for Capitol Punishment, but this menace needs to die. The Jury needs to take control and eliminate this demon off the planet!!!...Justice, remove your blindfold and see Jodi for the psychopath she is.
The audacity of claiming Travis is a pedophile, when there is NO
evidence whatsoever to validate this!!...How is this allowed in the trial?...She even forged letters, that alone, should be a significant reason for this ridiculous accusation be tossed.

I read in one of the threads that they believe the naked photos were taken on another occasion. I thought so too, but after careful examination of Travis taking a shower, there is a mark on his right bicep indicating there was indeed duct taped wrapped on his arm. The nude pic of Travis on the bed proves he was sporting duct tape around his bicep, but why?
I also think the knife was duct taped under the sink in the bathroom, the cabinet door was open in the crime scene photos.

Whoooah!! Yes.... I bet that's exactly what happened! I read that Travis had gone to his Bishop after he finally broke from her spell and she moved away. And, she definitely proved on cross she can't handle when she's not in control.. (See how her face gets all creepy lookin' and demon-ish! Geeeze, scary!) She could no longer control him with sex anymore and she snapped! This makes sense!

Did he contact her or did she contact him?
Do we have proof of they way the contact was made like a text, call ,or email?
Because if he call her and asked her to visit him then it can be premeditated.
If she contacted him and then he asked her to stop by they YES she planed it

JMO but I think Jodi planned to brutally murder Travis much more quickly than she was able to. She planned to kill him, return to her road trip, and arrive at Ryan's without her tardiness being so obvious. I've read many posters who think his roommates were an issue for her and I agree with them. She thought she was very smart and had worked out a flawless plan. Unexpected things came up and she had to adjust. Thankfully she is not as smart as she thinks she is.
It's very scary to think there are people like CA and JA out there in the world.

Looking for people's thoughts on the proposition that the Defendant did not demonstrate premeditation due to the extended period of time she spent with the vic, including their activities, prior to the murder. Here, we know the Defendant spent the entire day with the vic. She didn't walk in and kill him in the doorway. Instead, she allowed him to have sex with her, they took a nap, layed around, even allowed him to take pictures of her in compromising positions.

If she went there with a premeditated and specific intent to kill, wouldn't the act have come much sooner rather than later? Spending 12 hours with your intended victim, taking pictures, being intimate, etc. could seem far beyond the logical point she should/could have emotionally gone, if murder was the sole reason for her visit. Can we say that this lady is actually that much of a psychopath, a black widow of the highest form, pleasuring herself for hours then killing her mate? Is that really this woman?

Looking for your thoughts on whether the 12 hours of leisure, sex, and pictures spent with the vic actually "kills" the State's premeditation theory. [Excuse the pun] Clearly, a juror could find her not "evil" enough to follow the State down this particular theoretical path due to the substantial period of time she spent with the vic prior to the homicide. She wanted him for herself, in her mind she tried to change his mind, in her mind she tried everything only to know it was not working, she came to kill him, if she could not change his mind. Sex, love, pic all desperate plead to get him back. She was desperate to stop him with going on with a new love, Jodie felt she had to kill him like she knew down deep she would. Many lies, closet tells the truth, she never went in that closet to get a gun, she brought it. She got rid of gun, she knew it was her grandpa's because she stole it. She took gun, rope, clothes etc and got rid of it. Who does that, if it really self defense? She took pic in shower to make sure Travis was most vulnerable so she could take him out, she knew there was no other way to do it safely. She claims she can not remember only so she does not have to tell the gruesome way she killed him. She blames Travis for what she did, she trashed him she is still filled with rage, the killing shows she was raged with anger at the time of killing. Even now, she is proud of what she has done, she's glad his family is hurting. She is a danger to society and I think the state has and will continue to show meditation and she will get 1st degree.

I think what the poster meant was she was lying about sex that day because if he turned her down it had to be hard on her ego, would have upset her. It would have meant to her he was finally done with her. The lying about what happened was to protect herself, not necessarily about the sex. From those pictures of her "areas" and the one picture of her in which we can see her head she had not yet taken a shower while the "other" picture appears she had. Since these pictures were taken close together it would seem they had not yet had sex....maybe some playing around, oral possible but not any type of intercourse. Her hair is perfectly dry. As far as Jodi's physical appearance I think she has been far more into anal sex than she admits. In fact, I'd say it was her specialty. jmo

Not one of his roommate's knew she was there even though Jodi claims to have left her car in plain sight in the middle of the driveway. How could they both have missed that? One of the roommates had a conversation with Travis at 11:30, another returned and was there between 3 and 4 with his girlfriend. No one saw Jodi. No one noticed the car. No one heard her remove her belongings to return them to the car, etc. The dog gate was not up against the stairs when the roommate was there at 3pm. I do not believe she arrived at 4 in the morning. I think she got there around 1pm and slipped into Travis' bedroom while he slept after she checked out his computer. Why would she bring in her suitcase when she was not staying????

There is just too much pointing to her trying to hide the fact that she was ever there to make her story sound credible. Way too much. Darryl sounded very reluctant on the stand to testify. Some co-incidents are possible but too many which we have in this case are not. It points to her planning in advance to kill him, taking a road trip she could not afford, renting a vehicle to save gas which cost her more than what she would have spent in gas, the gas cans, etc. Too much evidence that points to Jodi as planning this in advance of killing Travis.
