It is the latest example of shoppers being gripped by the so-called 'Meghan effect'.

Rtbm

Harry looks really suave, I have to say.

I really don't understand why Megs is coming to the USA to visit folks. She has not been in Europe that long and she previously lived in Canada. Like I mentioned earlier, the visiting friends/family is a side line to something else. Fly Mom to the UK. Fly Dad to the moon.

HILARIOUS Kensie! What about flying Samantha to a silent Buddhist community? That would be torture.

Yeah, for the Buddhists....

Good price but CM clothes all look alike...

Meghan, 37, looked chic in a colour block dress from Canadian brand Club Monaco as she accompanied Harry, 33, to the nuptials of his childhood friend Charlie van Straubenzee at St Mary the Virgin Church in Frensham, Surrey, on Saturday.
Within hours of the appearance, the dress was completely sold out online and the product page is no longer available to view.

Nice heels!!

I went on the CM website last night to see what else they might have and couldn't find anything that Duchess Meghan could likely wear to the wedding. I saw things the formerly single actress Meghan Markle might have worn, but nothing for her likely new "dress code".

I read that a lot of her dresses/accessories have sold out in minutes so I don't think this dress was all that popular in comparison to other outfits she's worn.

I love the heels too but lordy they're high! She probably she likes being closer in height to Harry.

I'm not sure if it got mentioned previously but Prince George was recently named one of Britain's best dressed by Tatler.

I personally loved his long pants and frock coat at his Uncle Harry's wedding. AWWWWWWWWW

ETA of course, George has been showing his fashionable side for a few years now. Who can forget this dapper look?

Meant to add to my previous post that I like Meghan's sunglasses and then I saw this article:

Meghan Markle's 22-Karat Gold Sunglasses Are Selling Out Fast — Despite Their $750 Price Tag

ETA I don't like them $750 worth!

I don’t either! Who needs gold plated sunglasses just like Meghan’s that might get lost? People are such sheep!

About ten years ago I splurged on prescription bifocal polarized sunglasses...over $100 even at Costco. They fell out of my purse and were lost. So I splurged again and bought another pair because I really liked the convenience of being able to read something with sunglasses on. The same thing happened again! I’m not normally someone who loses and misplaces stuff. Needless to say, I went back to non-prescription polarized sunglasses. And I never lose those! (insert head-banging emoji)

OT I will confess to having expensive taste in eyewear. I can't go anywhere without my glasses, so they have to be something I can live with every day for a couple of years. My prescription is expensive too so I have to balance the cost of the frames AND the lenses. Thankfully I have good insurance through my employer and a flex spending account.

Having said all that, $750 is way more than I would spend for a pair of frames.

Lilibet, I've been getting custom-made clipons instead of regular prescription sunglasses for the last couple of years. They're much more economical and the cases are much smaller (actually will fit in a purse or a pocket!).

OT: If I had to wear glasses all the time, I would definitely spend the $$ and get the nicest I could (and custom clip-on sunglasses). Fortunately, as I’ve gotten older in the last 10 years my distance vision has improved so all I need are prescription reading glasses, rather than bifocals. I get the prescription filled at Walmart two at a time for purse and home. I’d love to be loyal to my optometrist, but his frames are more than I want to pay. Great quality, of course, but I don’t really need that.

I wonder how many young working women charged the “Meghan” $750 sunglasses to their credit cards instead of being happy with something more affordable.

Princess Anne outing! I think the dress has potential of being flattering and lovely, but the dark jacket makes the outfit somber. And I really would love to see an updated haircut for her - a short "do" would look so good on her and would fit her no-fuss, active style.

My favorite photo at the link is of the Princess and her husband on their boat in wet-weather gear.

Oh, I take that back. My favorite photo is of the Princess talking to the young women. Not a glamour shot, but a strong female photo...way to encourage the young women interested in ships. (Not particularly fond of the flip-flops worn by the young woman in pink in that photo though. You're meeting a Royal for pete's sake! Wear better shoes! :) )

Princess Anne looks awesome in her high waders out on the boat.

She's very conservative and understated. And her not give a fig about fashion, fashion, is refreshing! Imo.

I think she could use some No-Poo shampoo (no sulfer laurates) to tame her naturally curly hair?

She really has her gran's eyes these days!

Edit: In the pics of her smiling if you block out her lower face, it's totally the Queen Mum.

Parliament ought to consider another revision of those Royal succession rules -- Queen Anne would be both competent and well-liked!

Knowing our luck, he'd do that faaaaar from cameras.

They are each divorced. Charles & Camilla are becoming more popular.

The hairstyle would at least change when she wore The Crown, ya' know?

At least she's carrying a sensible sized clutch. Looks like navy suede. Classic.

Those pearls are gorgeous. I wonder if the dark ones are really blue pearls. I would've thought lapis lazuli.

I think she looks lovely. And those two young sailors look nearly starstruck!

Yes, Princess Anne looks great. I agree that the blue stones are probably lapis. Googling colored pearls, I don’t see a blue that dark.

I hate to admit that I remember the cute little girl Anne was. Of course, I was a little girl too, just a few (ahem) years older.

Yes, I am a few years older than Anne, but only one year older than Charles. I loved reading about them when I was a child. The younger boys did not get the same amount of attention.
