Seeing as we're discussing (sort of) names, what do you all think of the name Louis for the wee one??

I was quite surprised at their choice and not a fan.

I was hoping for a Prince Richard (the little Lion Hearted) or another English royal name. Not the little king of France name. lol

I guess it was to honour Louis MountBatten but that's another whole story!!

The queen in pink AND corgis!

Thank you for sharing this photo :) I absolutely adore the coat and hat - might be one of my favorite ensembles the Queen has ever donned. Not a fan of the shoes or purse, but Her Majesty definitely looks pretty in pink.

I figured when they named George that they were going to go traditional in their choices.

I sort of like saying "Louis". It makes me smile, thinking of a happy gurgling laughing baby.

With a name like Jennifer?

Yep, several 1970’s born Jennifers where I grew up too (UK) also my 1981 born cousin and similar aged neighbour! And then there’s Aniston, Lopez, Lawrence et al, I don’t consider it an “old” name at all!!!

Anyway, it’s probably less about your username than your posting style, you must be young st heart (at least in my head!)

Just been discussing kids names over dinner with friends, noting that lots of old names like Martha, Elsie, Stanley, Alfie, Mollie and Jack are back in fashion. We wondered if our kids (age between 8 and 11) would end up naming their kids things like Sarah, Nicola, Debbie, Steve & Mike. Goes around in a big circle!

I was surprised too, though it’s popular in the UK now and has been for a few years along with Lewis. I can think of half a dozen in our primary school.

I don’t think it goes especially well with George and Charlotte, but I bet Kate only had a limited choice for her first born and by the time no3 cane along she could be braver. Next one might be called Beyonce or Brooklyn haha!

Ha! How brave will they be with number 4?!! :)

OT—I’ve probably told this name story before, but here goes again. Our daughter started first grade in 1976 with a darling blonde long-haired child of hippies who had named him Yang Hummingbird. He moved away after first grade, but several years later he moved back and was assigned to my husband’s fifth grade class...he had changed his name to Bob Howard and had short hair...the little reverse-rebel! :D

I like Louis. I like it much more than boring George. I think sometimes we like names or not depending on whether we like the people in our lives who have had that name.

I think that eventually, she will have to cut all ties with them, for her own sanity.

ITA.....this is getting to be more than ridiculous.

This marriage is a never ending source of merriment.

No one forced Harry Prince to marry into this family, or to marry when he did. He had all the freedom to chose and to take his time. IMHO he had more freedom than any other Prince in the generations before him.

So he rushes into something where others fear to tread.

You're a Markle now, Harry! Like it or not, and whatever the new missus Sussex says, you should have met with your father in law before you got married, you should have allowed him to speak at the wedding, and in general you should have taken better care of him before and after that wedding.

I sympathise with Thomas Markle. He did not ask for all the limelight. No one took the time to support him, to educate him, to train him in dealing with the press.

His daughter is a great humanitarian and he has not met her current husband yet.

I personally think Harry should have looked elsewhere. Too much crazy in that family. All families have some level of crazy but they appear to enjoy putting it on display which is another kettle of fish.
