BBM I am flabbergasted; has JJA told Logan that he is the only PI the family can or should use?

I don't know if he has or he hasn't. That's not what I meant. What I meant is that it seems that some people think Logan should use Jay and only Jay. I think Logan should or not use any PIs he thinks are best for his child.

I agree with you that I would do what I felt best for my child, and would probably use all pi help I could get, especially the ones that are very well connected with sources worldwide, have a great success record, and are working due to commitment rather than greed.

I would certainly not use any PI I felt was not in the best interests of my child. I wouldn't care what PIs anyone else felt I should or shouldn't use, or whether or not their services were free. I would definitely have major problems with any PI that, for example, exploited my missing child to feed their ego or publicity desires, regardless of whether their services were free. Greed has many forms.

As to turning over all leads to LE, if someone provided information upon the promise that it would NOT be given to LE, then turning that information into LE would squash not only THIS investigation, but every future investigation any pi might ever be involved in and quite probably endanger the very lives of people who are trying to do the right thing for an innocent child by providing much needed information. It is a serioius conundrum.

I'm not sure I'm following you. Are all leads that have not been given to LE from people who asked that their information not be given to LE? That would be rather mind boggling.

I sure do agree wholeheartedly! This is the parent's decision.

Yes, so true. I am hoping for something better than ego and exploitation here, but have no inside knowledge and am trying to remain openminded.

Again, I have no inside information whatsoever. I can only speak of my own experiences and know that there could be information given by people needing to remain shielded, even from LE, and sometimes especially from LE.

I can think of several possible scenarios that could be involved. If you stop to consider the kind of people that could/would 1)pay big money for a child 2)know the taking of the child was illegal 3)remove the child to another country or keep the child here in very very protective/secretive circumstances over a long period of time yet still provide basic needs of medical care, etc., then it is easy to make the leap to these people possibly to probably having some peeps in their hip pocket for protection. Not saying that IS what is happening, but COULD be what is happening. Every scenario is different and deserves its own consideration as to the best way to bring Gabriel home.

Just adding here that I have KNOWN abducted kids missing long-term and know of the organized complicity of seemingly legitimate organizations that either directly facilitated or covered up frequent moves to avoid detection. I have also known of some organized crime situations that involved children. There are good LE and there are....others..... One just never really knows for sure. In Gabriel's case, I personally do believe there is a larger network to be protected and covered up, and much at risk of being revealed that could take down many. And I think there is enough money involved to keep things underground and protected.

I actually cried reading this thread this morning. I am VERY disheartened at all of the finger pointing and negativity going on right now. I don't care who's doing it, who's involved in it, who started it, or even the reasons behind it. It's simply breaking my heart because EVERYONE needs to be focused on looking for Gabe and this IS taking focus away from that.

I'm praying very hard for this to get cleared up soon so everyone can re-focus on Gabriel and bringing him home.

I have to say that at this point I am not impressed with his lawyer.

I cannot speak directly about this lawyer, but as a whole, this family of lawyers are probably the top dogs in San Antonio. Let me put it this way, I will never forget the overheard whispered words from the states lawyers in my child support case "what is Patrick doing here". They had reason to worry, my lawyer IS a hotshot. Yet I would trade him in for a Maloney in a heartbeat (If I had that kind of money).

Back around 1985 or so I was on the opposite side of a Maloney case. I remember the gal coming to my job holding a paper that had a simple one dollar bill attached to the back. "I am looking for David Bailey" she said, I told her that was me, she removed the dollar bill,, I stuck out my hand...she gave me the paper instead "You have been served". The kind of money it takes to hire these folks...They were representing the son of the #1 person at the San Antonio International Airport. It seems I broke both of his legs:dance:. I was fortunate that they dropped the suit after the very first deposition. ( long story short, I came over a hill and saw two guys beating down a girl...I am the type to get involved).

Back to the point, you do NOT want to go up against the Maloneys.

I would think that if the letter is fully legit, that JJ would have moved to immediately had Gabriels info removed from his home page, it was there last night, it's still there this morning.
This is confusing me.

ETA: JJ has worked many parental kidnappings, it would seem. As is par for the course in such cases, I am sure he has been the victim of slander/libel many times. NOWHERE on record is there another open letter of intent from JJ.

I am not saying that is wasn't written by him. I would just appreciate some official statement on the statement, lol.

I haven't yet found a credible source for the letter. Nothing to tell me the letter came from Jay. If anyone finds a credible source with the letter, verifying it came from Jay today, please post it.

It seems that shockingly very few people care whether any of the rumors, allegations, speculation, etc has any basis in fact. This seems to be pervasive across the internet, in many cases. It confounds me.

I'm with ya BeanE...I'm having such a hard time with all this. I read everything on FB and there's so much conflicting information flying around right now that I don't know how any objective person could ot question what, if any of it, could possibly be the truth.

It seems that the Facebook postings last night (including the letter) were removed by Logan. I stayed up late to watch the melt down and some interesting allegations surfaced, but no proof. And everything has been deleted anyway. It will be interesting to see how things play out. If all the investigators did quit, why!?
