It seems that the Facebook postings last night (including the letter) were removed by Logan. I stayed up late to watch the melt down and some interesting allegations surfaced, but no proof. And everything has been deleted anyway. It will be interesting to see how things play out. If all the investigators did quit, why!?

I have been lurking..too busy to contribute much. This was too crazy to ignore. Why is this story so insane?

This does seem to indicate that Logan has hired an attorney and that Logan is distancing himself from JJ. I do not believe we have any verification other than this about the attorneys, and I do not believe we have any verification that JJ is off the case. His website still shows Gabe's tipline, and he has not issued a press release or any other kind of statement.

So far, all of the allegations are only allegations, and it seems like one of the news outlets would do a story on some of this if there was anything determined to be credible thus far.

Totally agree..They are all allegations..but I can't figure out why they are being said if they are false. Unless they are just rumors gone wrong.

if any of this were true, I assume it would have to be taken through law enforcement first. Things will come out in time to explain all of this.

Now, McQueary's attorney Tim Maloney has released a statement

That same article states that Logan's attorney issued a press release, and provides partial information on that press release. I haven't seen the full press release published.

Those are the only supported factual information I've seen. If anyone else has information supported by a credible source, please post, so we can discuss it and see what else might be going on.

In situations like this, I think about who has something to gain by libeling. The first thing that pops to my mind in this case, would be someone who is facing serious criminal charges.

A little OT - some of the rumors flying around the FB page last night concerned JJ and some were other vicious accusations. IMO there's some real "camps" being set up here and I think it's despicable.

Back to JJ and this thread, I hope that JJ will clarify this situation in due time so we can put the rumors to bed. Logan hiring an attorney suggests to me that there's something going on, but I don't even feel it's fair to speculate with the information I have now.

Ok but unless there is some fact to back it up, will this help anything? Or I guess in desperation it may not matter. This was definitely not just one person it was a gang of individuals. But they may all organized somehow.

And the people I know facing charges are in jail right now..

So who else could be facing charges? The "couple"? Anyone involved really? Hope they look into these people to see who they are.

I think this is a fair point. There could be valid reasons for Logan to feel like he needed an attorney through all this, and an attorney in TX is not out there if whatever happened happened in TX.

I know that I've recommended a number of times to Logan and to others of Gabe's family members that Logan retain an attorney. I'm sure others have as well.

Some of the reasons I recommended he retain an attorney are because both he and his son are named victims of crimes, and he is legally responsible for his son, therefore I thought it would be helpful to Logan to know exactly what his and Gabe's legal victim's rights are.

I thought it would be helpful for Logan to have an attorney who knows the laws and could answer his questions on, for example, the process of a missing person and homicide investigation, and what to expect from LE, prosecutors, etc., what Gabe's rights are, what Logan's rights are, etc.

I thought it would be helpful for Logan to have an attorney who could advise him of his alternatives in the case of continued victimization, harrassment, threats, intimidation, rights violations, etc, of himself or Gabe by perpetrators of the crimes against them.

What seems odd to me this all seemed to come to light after JJ's vist to AZ. Again, a mentioning that he had whatever kind of tips he had, old new, who knows, things went from there. He just didn't go to AZ to see if he could see EJ. JMO

It would have taken time prior to that day for Logan to have consulted with attorneys, selected the attorney he wished to retain, consult in more depth with that attorney, make decisions on what actions to take, for the attorney to prepare the press release, etc etc.

I have no idea about what kind of attorneys can do what things, other than knowing from following Caylee's case that in Florida not every attorney can defend in a death penalty trial - they have a certification process they have to go through. I just don't recall ever hearing of any other certifications that may be necessary for representing someone for other things. I'm not even sure how to Google it.

Funny you should mention that, didn't a WSer just post in the last couple of days that Tammi had found a way onto Gabe's FB page?
I feel bad saying this, but after the first bout of FB drama, I haven't visited the FB page. I feel so badly every day for Gabriel and this family. Sometimes I feel like my heart is literally breaking for all of them. I just can't see clear to subject myself to reading this kind of crap over there.

Does anyone else think it's possible that this drama is being staged to help draw out perps/leads, or get someone thinking they are safe because the focus has shifted? Maybe not so much the FB drama, but maybe the JJ stuff?

Or maybe that is my wishful thinking.
