Safety alert issued after child sexually assaulted inside Etobicoke home
August 2, 2018 8:05AM EDT

"Police have issued a public safety alert after an unknown man sexually assaulted a child inside an Etibocke home over the weekend and then potentially returned to the same address the next day.

According to police, the man entered the home near Renforth Drive and Burnhamthorpe Road sometime between 11 p.m. and midnight on Saturday and proceeded to sexually assault a child before fleeing the scene.

It is further alleged that a man was then seen “prowling” in the backyard of the same home at around 11 p.m. the next night, though it is unclear whether it was the same suspect.

After the incidents were reported to police, officers canvassed the neighbourhood and learned of a number of other suspicious incidents that have taken place in an area bounded by Rathburn Road to the north, Bloor Street to the south, The West Mall to the east and Renforth Drive to the west.

The incidents include everything from prowling on personal property to indecent acts, police say."

Alert issued after reported sexual assault of child at west-end Toronto home, prowling incidents

"While canvassing for information as part of the investigation, police said residents in the neighbourhood roughly bounded by Renforth Drive, Rathburn Road, The West Mall and Burnhamthorpe Road reported incidents of prowling, incedent acts and/or exposures. Police said there is no evidence as of Wednesday to connect these incidents with the reported sexual assault.

The Toronto police sex crimes unit is overseeing the investigation. Officers are asking residents and business owners in the neighbourhood to be extra vigilant.

Police are also asking for anyone with surveillance video from Saturday, Sunday and Monday to contact investigators at 416-808-7474, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477."
The suspect seen in the backyard is described as being in his late 20s or early 30s, 5’8″ or 5’9″, and having short, dark hair. He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured jacket.

Is his zipper open?

Ugh, I'm nauseated just typing that question.

I'm so glad the police are taking this seriously!

Ewww, his fly does look open and he looks dirty! imo.
That cctv was from 2015 and although they are not sure that it is the same guy as the one from this weekend, guessing that since they released that tape again, he probably is the same perp.
Going to look around as i vaguely remember starting a thread about him in 2015 also.
imo speculation.

Police release video of man wanted in 2 prowler investigations | CBC News

"Toronto police have released security camera footage of a 2015 incident they say shows a man they're seeking in two west-end prowler investigations.

The footage shows an incident police say happened at a house in the area of Dixon Road and Highway 401 on Jan. 22, 2015, where the man reportedly climbed a ladder and looked into a bathroom window."

"The man reportedly got into a beige SUV and drove away, according to police.

Same man committed 'indecent act' in July, women say
Investigators say after seeing the video of the 2015 incident that two women believe the same man was responsible for an incident in July.

In that incident, two women were sitting in a backyard in the area of Renforth Drive and Burnhamthorpe Road where they noticed the man in a neighbour's backyard committing an "indecent act," police say."
