The "Christmas in Washington" concert, which the First Family is expected to attend, will be filmed Sunday for broadcast December 21 by TNT. Representatives for the network, which has final say over the selection of performers, told NBC News that PSY would perform as scheduled.

This article clearly states TNT is in charge of who performs. But, I think this would be a GREAT opportunity for OUR president to take a stand for OUR troops and refuse to attend.

It was a protest song, coming at a time of war protests, and in the wake of two little children in Korea having been run over by American military.

I find it strange that people are more outraged by these song LYRICS from 8 years ago than by the fact that two ACTUAL children were killed, and that thousands of LIVING children and innocents elsewhere have been killed by our war machine over the last eight years.

I'm proud to live in a country where we do not take umbrage at every act of non-violent protest.

I can understand a "Down With America" rant as a protest to war. But, what's up with the wish for torture and child-killing (daughters)? That is was worries me about his character. Would more killing of innocents make anyone happy?

This stuff was eight years ago. And these are words, not action - not drones. Not "collateral damage." Not death tolls of innocents. Words. We protect free speech here as a constitutional right. Quite hypocritical it would have been to knee-jerk a reaction to words. By an angry young man, reacting to real deaths of children in his country. Eight years ago.

I had to look up the lyrics, because I sware it sounds like condom style. Strange song, imo.

How many times have Americans talked about nuking other countries? No one seems to have a problem with that. What's the difference?

This is a great quote:

"If you want your country to rule the world as an aggressive and militaristic empire, then accept the inevitable consequence of that: that there will be huge numbers of people in the world who resent and even hate your country for that behavior. Don’t cheer while your country constantly kills, invades, occupies, and dominates the internal affairs of countless other nations - and then expect to be liked. Immorality aside, producing this reaction is one reason not to do such things."

Also, for those who are boycotting Psy and will never listen to his song again...Do you also boycott Sean Penn, Mark Wahlberg, Chris Brown, Charlie Sheen? All of those men have a history of violence. I think what they did is worse than what Psy said but their careers still flourish.

He is saying condom style despite the lame claim.

When I see an American giving a concert, asking for the slow painful death of innocents, ill agree with you.
Until then, I will continue to be outraged and say any American who spends a dime on his music should be ashamed.

I believe in free speech. I also believe in consequences. I hope his 15 minutes of fame are up here.

And I do hope Obama takes a stand.
(but I must admit, I'm not holding my breath)

This is a country that Hank Williams Jr. lost his job of over 20 years for comparing Obama to Hitler. He didn't even call for slow painful deaths of children.
He faced consequences.

But that didn’t stop the “Gangnam Style” star from showing up in our nation’s capital last night for the annual “Christmas in Washington” concert, despite the wishes of those who signed this invalid petition. With President Obama in attendance, a sequin-spangled Psy took the stage and wisely opted to played it safe by performing “Gangnam Style” for his prestigious audience.
And Obama, too, played it safe. USA Today reports that when thanking the night’s entertainers — which included the less-controversial likes of Diana Ross, Scotty McCreery, and Conan O’Brien — the president pointedly omitted Psy’s name. Obama did, however, shake Psy’s hand after the show.

:waiting: priceless

Shook his hand.
Shook his freaking hand.

You've got to be kidding me!

Disgusting

Yes, your way must be right - have the leader of a free nation snub a man whose mistake, for which he apologized, was made eight years ago and at the height of unrest in his country. That's certainly the way to sell democracy and freedom of expression to the world.

No one in the administration called for Hank Jr.'s firing in spite of his ludicrous comment.

IMO he needs to worry more about how he looks to AMERICANS than to the rest of the world. He is the president of the United States. And he shook the hand of a man that incited a crowd by telling them to kill our citizens by slow and painful means.

I'm not here to be right.

I'm here to give my opinion.

And I'm disgusted.

Surely you can see the big difference huh?
Hank Jr. compared Obama to Hitler. Big whoop.
PSY called for the slow painful death of our children.

And our president shook his hand and smiled.

To me, that's disgusting.

We've got housewife style!

Wake up crack of dawn get the breakfast on the go, quickly prune the roses, give the lawn a speedy mow.

Load the dirty dishes, feed the hungry cat, we're supersonic women and sexy too at that.

I've got my diary here, I run six people's lives, I've my lippy there, first aid for sexy wives.

Hold down a full-time job, run the family too, sometimes by Sunday night, it's like a flipping zoo.

Multi-tasking, who you're asking, it's where we're at, still time to chat, we like a saga at the Aga and guess our niche - the perfect quiche, if you ask us very nice we'll serve a feast!

We've got housewife style! Mop! Mop! Mop! We've got housewife style!

Hey sexy ladies! Mop! Mop! Mop! We've got housewife style!

The kids all think we're past it, but they don't know a thing, we sure know how to party when we're dressed up in our bling.

More mileage for your money, show you a thing or two, can turn the sex appeal on while we marinate a stew.

We make our pastry fresh, our filos paper thin. We make your favourite dish while we're filling homework in. We know the secret art, to make the perfect tart, eat our smorgasbord, we'll serve you a la carte.

Think you're in trouble if once more supple, we'll burst your bubble. We've perfect karma, learnt from a larma, we're great with yeast, can tame your beast, if you ask us very nice we'll serve a feast!

We've got housewife style! Mop! Mop! Mop! We've got housewife style!

Hey sexy ladies! We've got housewife style!

We don't know, why you would go for less, older woman they are by far the best, we've got housewife style!

He's a great dancer and entertainer. I'm near 60 and would love to see a group of oldies like me doing this. LOL

How many of our own entertainers and commoners have done the same? It's their right....that many died and spilled blood for. Keeping things in check. If we are wanting to spread our freedoms, then those who we beckon to should have those rights too. He's just making a wake up call, not mobilizing a S Korea attack. IMO

I remember seeing an outstanding, beautiful glass bowl in a museum in DC made by an Iranian artist. I could only think at the time that that person was not concentrating on nuking or harming anyone.
