Is there cliffs down to the water she could have fallen from and gotten the injuries?

Last week, Webster’s brother traveled to the area to help identify the body. Her dental records and a DNA sample were used during the investigation.

On Thursday, the institute said it “corroborated through DNA analysis (Rapid DNA) that the body of a female found in Naguabo is that of tourist Amanda Webster.”

A cause of death has not been determined and remains under investigation, the release said.

Webster landed in Puerto Rico the Monday before her disappearance. She was sending pictures and videos of herself on vacation to her friends throughout the trip, according to her friend of three years, Heather Clark.

“She traveled a lot and usually on her own,” Clark told NBC late last week, after the remains were discovered. “She likes to get away sometimes and recharge… she told us she had a lot to share when she got home.”

No indication yet of actual cause from authorities, but a LOT of tourists drown or get into distress in the water out here in Australia. They get off the plane, go straight to Bondi, and ignore or don't understand the signs for where it is safe to swim, and have to be rescued. Fortunately, Bondi is heavily patrolled and deaths there are rare because of this, but a lot of people choose to swim where there aren't lifeguards, or swim alone. You don't have to be a novice swimmer or unaware of the risks, either. Very famously, one of our prime ministers went swimming one day and his body was never found. He wasn't alone, he knew the beach and was comfortable in the ocean, but conditions were rough and he was caught in a rip and drowned. He was actually leader of the country at the time, not retired. What I'm saying is, this woman was from Indiana, she may not have been a strong swimmer, even if she was, circumstances can surprise you, and she may have even fallen from someplace and ended up in the river. How many times do we see a tourist composing the perfect picture falling to their death? And alone, there was no one to rescue her or call for help. Very sad.
