Maybe you won't be all that surprised but I'll add a couple more:

a-Her husband, Prince Philip continues to extend his record as the longest serving Prince Consort in history.

b-She is the first Queen Regent in 3 centuries not to also be an Empress.

At any rate, congratulations from the former colonies that did break away to become republican.

And, after the Royal Jubilee Weekend, The Queen turns over the Thrones to William and Kate.

Take THAT Camilla!!:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

That I would love to see.
I might be beheaded for this but IMO Prince Charles is a first class drip who never knew on which side his bread was buttered.

Sympathy here for Charles, 'Dumbo' ears and all, plus I like Camilla infinitely more than Diana.

But after Elizabeth goes, I'd just as soon the rest be thrown into the Tower actually.

I met the Queen and Prince Charles at the opening of a Shopping centre in Auckland, New Zealand when I was in High School.
I remember her very gentle hand shake and I will always remember her skin. It was so beautiful, just like a porcelain doll.

But he knew which side Camilla was buttered on. I feel kind of sorry for the lot of the British Royals. It's a tough job which they didn't choose. I don't think all the perks can make up for the loss of a private life. The Queen has carried out her duties with fortitude and charm. God bless her. I wonder if she sings, "God save my gracious self. "

I would truly love to see that! I don't think she'll do it quite yet. When the time comes Will will make a fine king with Kate beside him. And I know this sounds shallow, but I will be waiting to see how many tantrums Camilla throws!!

I so admire the Queen. I love reading about all the royals in history all over the world. I would love nothing better than to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to be king and queen.

The best for the queen. She probably only swims indoors in vrivcay. No sun for that skin.

Queen Elizabeth II overtook King George III last year for second place in the "longest-reigning British monarchs" list.

The longest-reigning? Queen Victoria of course: 63 years 216 days, 1837-1901.

God willing, Elizabeth should pass Victoria in October 2015.

God save the queen.
---
The shortest lived? The disputed reign of Lady Jane Grey. Queen Jane: 10 July - 19 July 1553.
